  1. I love my Apex and have had it for about 6-8 months ish. I have used it mostly as a monitor helper with my parameters, and have been turning my equipment off on the app for my feedings rather than having it programmed to Feed A, B, C, or D. I'm just starting to play with the automation for the feeding cycle and wondered what everyone else uses their Apex for. So, let's hear it! What all does your Apex take care of for the most part, so you don't have to. I am ready to take my tank to the next step. . . well. . . as soon as I learn how to program this thing correctly. That being said, if you want to leave some of the coding you use. . . . 😉 that would be amazing!!! I'm currently reading SuncrestReef's articles on Apex and my lighters are burning up! I love the information! Thanks all, hope you chime in and maybe someone others will benefit also!

  4. I replaced the MJ1200 that was in my DT with a Tunze 6040 last week. First impressions are very positive. This thing is small. Sitting it in the back corner of my tank and it quickly disappears. If the propeller weren't blue, most folks wouldn't know it is there. It's quiet. I have it on pulse mode (5 seconds at100%, then 5 seconds at 50%) and you can't hear it run, turn on, or change speeds. The feed mode is stupid simple. Push the 'feed button' and all goes quiet for 10 minutes. Pump returns to prior setting automatically. It's more adjustable than I originally thought. Between rotating the output, and orienting the motor horizontal or vertically you can direct the flow to just about wherever you like. They aren't cheap ($140) but I'm happy with it.
  5. I have a lightly used MP60 for sale. MFG date May 29, 2013 It was used on a freshwater tank never ran at more than 20%. Sold the tank now working in the equipment. I throw in a PARTS wet-side. The ceramic shaft neets replaced or "milled" with Muratic acid. Magnet doesn't turn freely. Pretty common problem. Asking 325.00 shipped. You pay PayPal fees.
