  1. Yes please close. I’ll post a new ad for the remaining equipment. Thanks
  2. The Premium Aquarium had their internet and phone taken out from the ice storm. I couldn't contact them. I would have driven there had I known they were open. I did everything I could with a generator, but it came a day late. I've suffered a long power outage before with a reef, but a bigger reef in a bigger house with better insulation. I thought I had several days or at least 2. If I had insulated the tank, probably would have made it. Our ETA for power returning kept getting delayed, adding to confusion. Clownfish were dead and tank 44 degrees after only 36 hours. At least I was already trying to sell all and downsize. Until next time. 🐟❤️😀
  3. This is so cool guys!!!!! I'm excited to be able to contribute something of value to the community. FEEDSTORM!!! That is a great automation for a controller and wonderful you took the time to walk us all through the advanced programming. In a year or two, FEEDSTORM might be a common reef term. 😀
  4. NanoCube 28 gallon for sale. SALEM OREGON ALL fish and livestock gone. 200. Includes the all in one tank, custom lid, the stock tank stand, and all the filters and pumps to keep it going, even a custom UV sterilizer. Many many extras included. I want the tank gone ASAP even tonight would be best. Our power just came on for the first time in a week. I had to offload all the fish and corals to a local reef sitter if anyone wants to contact me for those. The tank is going to start to stink tonight as the house heats up so please the sooner the better, I have priced to sell. Make offer if you like. 100 more for the skimmer, which is separate. AI Prime HD light, mount and lamp shield 150, and this I am in no hurry to sell.
  5. Power came on an hour ago. Tank is getting warm again and starting to stink as I will NOT be plugging it back in. I was already trying desparately to sell the tank and make room. If anyone wants the tank, NanoCube 28 gallon for sale. SALEM OREGON ALL fish and livestock gone. 200. 6. Thanks @jadams7. Nice guy, sorry to meet at such a difficult time. Hope all is well considering.
  7. Our power has no estimated time of arrival currently. PGE says it’s got too many outages to tell. I’ve got a son due to be born any day now and I need to be available for my wife and kids, not doctoring a reef tank during our second natural disaster in 8 months. Fire and ice. Please someone make me an offer for some super cheap corals and clear out my tank. I’ll make a good deal on the entire package, make me an offer.
  8. I’m in downtown Salem. Been trying to sell last few corals and then 28 gallon tank, but ice storm and power out and 42° inside are killing things. Clownfish died overnight. I need help rescuing corals that also need re-homed. I’m concerned that starting my tank back up now will only spread the death around the tank. Please help.
  9. SALEM, OREGON I have to sell my entire setup and get out of the hobby for a season to make more room and time for another child on the way. Really love this aquarium for 4 years plus, but family comes first. I am needing to sell all my corals and inverts first and my equipment last. 28 GALLON NANO CUBE AND STAND WITH ARTFULLY ACRYLIC CUSTOM LID. The tank will likely be a package deal and come with all extra pumps, backup pumps, Wavemaker, heater, food, and any or all supplements and accessories that aren't coral or fish. Lots of extras, many include original packaging. The tank has a couple small coral colonies growing on the back that will be included, as well as a small assortment of live rock and various corals and inverts to keep the reef established. Basically, a live reef starter package. $300 AI PRIME HD WITH ELBOW MOUNT AND 3D PRINTED LIGHT DIFFUSER (Includes original packaging) $175 AQUAMAXX 1.5 HOB SKIMMER (Includes original packaging) $155 AQUATIC LIFE TWIST IN RODI FILTER (Includes original packaging and mounting accessories) $60 MANY CORALS. My camera is an iphone 5 and does no justice to color, but I did my best to play with focus and lighting and time of day to get them as close to color match as I could with my limited equipment. I will list the names of the ones I know, and do my best to describe the rare and forgotten names when listing pricing. FAVITES massive colony with 120-160 heads. Possibly a Christmas Favites, but mine has a blue/purple rings between the green outsides and red mouths. It also has yellow mouths on new growth spots. Very difficult to count or get photos of entire colony as it surrounds a rock on all sides. In middle of tank. Double fisted size. $250 FAVITES fist sized blue and green and purple, roughly 50 mouths. Front right corner of tank. Not attached to rock. $125 LOBOPHYLIA massive single polyp. fist sized. Bright orange and blue/purple mix $75 GALAXIA green and purple, not attached to rock, approximately 50 mouths on it. about the size of an egg $60 ROCK WITH 13 GREEN DWARF ANEMONES AND AN ASSORTMENT OF MUSHROOMS AND SMALL PIECE OF SUPERMAN MONTIPORA. large rock, maybe 10 lbs. back of tank and is half of the back of the tank at least. $150 POLYP CONCH SHELL WITH MIDAS, SCRAMBLED EGGS AND BAMBAM. large conch shell covered in 3 types of polyps. probably 150+ polyps total $125 BLASTOMUSSA 13 heads $115 ACAN rainbow green and purple with red strips, probably 13-15 mouths. not the common purple green acan, this is rainbow with red strips (not stripes, strips) and as eye catching as the other ultra high end rainbow acan in proper light. Probably my hardest coral to get the rainbow color done in photos. $125 ACAN rainbow orange and red with green strips. Ultra high end. 5 large mouths and a medium 6th. $115 MONTIPORA SUNSET, small frag in front right of tank. $20 WAR CORAL multicolored red ad blue with green eyes on a medium sized snail shell, probably 50+ eyes on it. $45 ARMOR OF GOD POLYPS. likely 25 large and 10-15 babies on a plug in a small rock. $50 MAGNETIC FRAG RACK overgrown with 3 corals. It was a project that I didn't finish. Likely needs fragged up and separated as the corals are overgrown and beginning to touch. I just don't have the time or space to do the frag projects I originally anticipated. I could sell the piece as a whole with all 3, or potentially cut the stylophora off and do it separate. PURPLE STYLOPHORA is a massive colony now with 30-50 branches. In the middle is a colony of JACK O LANTERN LEPTOSERIS and on the right is a colony of unknown montipora I believe. I will sell the entire magnetic frag rack and all 3 overgrown corals for $150 CLOWNFISH PAIR mated and breeding $50 CLEANER SHRIMP medium/large $20 MONEY COWRIE $10 I am located in SALEM OREGON and expect you to pick up here.
  10. My nano cube has a pair of ocellaris clownfish who are making eggs about every 10 days. I am unable to setup a fry tank, and feel bad letting them simply feed the reef every 10 days. My top 2 options are: 1. Sell or trade clownfish eggs. I researched and think I can simply put a small tile or rock in the spot where they lay them. It has been the exact same spot in the tank 3x now. Looks like they sell online for $22-45, so $20 seems fair to me if you come to Salem to get them. 2. Might need to sell or trade the clownfish to someone ready to handle a breeding pair.
  11. So a week ago my Cobalt Neo Therm heater went bad. I noticed my acans were turned inside out one afternoon so I checked the thermometer and got a major scare when it read almost 90 degrees. I immediately checked the heater and saw it was (and still is) stuck in the 94 degree maximum read zone. I am very fortunate to have found this during the afternoon and likely it had slowly crept up to bath temp over several hours. I unplugged the heater (obviously) and used my emergency reef ice cubes and room temp water to get it back to 80 in about an hour or so. My reef was unhappy for a couple days, but no notable losses. Amen Now, I have a backup heater on it, but need a new heater so I can even make replacement saltwater. Considering a controller for heat if I can find something inexpensive. Had one for about $45 I got on Amazon last year, but it didn't work well. Is there something to control heaters and or a fan for summertime that is in the $40-100 range? Not wanting to invest much in my 28 gallon aquarium, especially as I may need to sell soon to make room for newest family addition. Ideas?
  12. Very cool. To note, it’s not an hour of work, but 10 minutes of work and an hour process to do it. If I’m ever able to upgrade to an automated system I will try something like you have set up here. One of the few things I see different in our equations is the amount of time the water fans are on. My tank is 28 gallons and I do water fan for ~20 seconds, just enough time to pull the food off the floor and give it a chance to fall into a coral mouth again. That being said, if you have 300 gallons you may need several minutes to stir the water up and get the food off the floor? Try and see what works for you. I watch individual coral mouths and alter my strategy as necessary. With a good skimmer and sponge filter, most of the frozen food seemed to get REMOVED instead of CONSUMED. This is why I started doing this. My frozen food goes 3x further and my corals grow 3x faster. Win win. I’d love to hear any follow up comments on how this works for other people. Criteria to consider are: coral growth water parameters (do you dose more/less, empty skimmer less, cleaner water, less nutrients in water column, etc....) and equipment functionality as well (does the stop and go take its toll on the pumps over time, are we more likely to have spills, splashes or leaks) thanks again for taking the time to do this. Glad I can give something back to the community ☺️
  13. Very cool! Fun competition and gave me something to do during isolating times. Congrats back @CoralReefTankers. Thanks for all you do @badxgillen. I’d love an LPS or something branching and or SPS. Possibly hammer? I had a tank complication last week that really threw a wrench into things. Many corals died. Many/most are damaged. My acan is alive and mediocre. A week ago it was massive and thriving like everything else. I’ll need to wait a few weeks or month for everything in my aquarium to heal before I add new stuff to it.
  14. It’s my targeted spot feeding. It’s nearly an hour process. I turn all water circulation off and target feed each mouth in my tank with precision with frozen food slurry and turkey baster. Then I wait 20-30 minutes, and turn on water fan without the pump running. This turns the tank into a snow globe of frozen shrimp. Then I turn the water fan off and let everything settle again. Repeat process a couple times before circulating the water with the pumps again. It essentially target feeds everything 3x within the hour, but would be difficult to do in a tank larger than 30 gallons. My acans and favites grow large and fast. My tanks specialty.
  15. 5 full adult heads and a baby started a few days ago bringing total to 6. (Note the baby rainbow Acan sprout in the bottom left of the frag with the side profile.)
  16. By the way, mine was Acan A. I’m not sure if I posted that. Gets hard to tell with camera phone pics of underwater rainbow animals. Anyone else got new polyps on Acan A or just the second one?
  17. What is the role of the officer? Are the forum politics in a post already?
  18. I have 2 new polyps. One of my 3 original polyps is still only a half and has never fully healed. So 2.5 originals, and 2 new polyps. The new polyps are already about 1/4 the size of the big ones and coloring up too.
  19. That’s quite the colony for an urchin. Props
  20. 2 new polyps and a pic of the hole/crevice in the rock below the dying polyp. Should I glue it or leave it be?
  21. One of my Acan polyps still won’t heal. There is a hole or open crack in its skeleton just below the polyp that leaves room for critters to get inside. Is it safe to seal the crack with super glue? Not sure if that might prevent polyps growing over that area in the future or not. Btw, I have 2 confirmed newbies and a likely 3rd new polyp since bringing it home. I’ll take pics in the next day or two.
  22. I’ll PM with my cell number for details.
  23. Krux I sent you a PM. I’d be interested in the shield if you can find it. If not let me know and I’ll order one from the 3D reef print. All the extra time inside has heightened my awareness of how much light it leeks into the living room (where I’ve spent 50% of the last month.)
