Planning on picking up some acrylic next week. I could build a 6' x 2' x 18" high tank with my off cuts.
Thought I would throw it out there I could build it pretty cheaply. Not sure if I could male it rimless though.. probably not with only 3/4" material.

How is this an easy shape? Aren't those sheets 8' x 4' ft? The length has to be the 6' dimension and the width is coming to 5' with the long walls (2' + 1.5' + 1.5').
Also, where you picking it up? One of these days, I am still planning my acrylic build.

My wife would know the only acceptable thing to do.
Call @badxgillen.
That's a tough situation for sure. Hopefully you can get it all dialed in. I don't have much advice on that topic though.

In all life-or-death situations, we should all donate our corals to PNWMAS for raffles/funds or to @badxgillen.
Who else is going to take care of them? You know?
In my opinion, the community will take best care of them.
@SuncrestReef Just let your family know that any local fish store would also likely be able to send out a technician for help and maintenance.

I must confess that if I didn't do EVERYTHING myself, I could never in a million years afford a mosnter tank. Plus, for my first tank I bought all the stuff I would need for a bigger tank (except for the lights). My skimmer, calcium reactor, fuge, apex, water mixing station, .. all that stuff will just be shifted over to my larger tank. I am building the tank myself, so that saves 2-3 thousand right there, and I am going to try and cut down on heating costs by heating the tank with my hot water heater.
That's the way to do it!
