  1. Doesn't need to be perfect and i can reseal if needed but don't want super bad scratches unless they are very localized. Im in Albany but willing to drive. Pm me your prices and sizes. No stand is needed as I have one. Thank you 😃
  2. I'll take it if you have it still! I'm in Albany, My cell is 702-533-3419
  3. Thanks Blue Z I have some experience in here and met a few people back when I was on here before but I fell off the radar during all my life changes. People on here have always been amazing and I have always enjoy their knowledge and just seeing other people's systems! I'm going to try and be a bit more active on the forum as I've never been a social butterfly online but I dislike facebook so I'm going to try and be here rather then on that dumpster fire of a site! I like it here, it's calming lol I generally went to areas around PDX and Vancouver to get things in the past as did I for this tank and inhabitants. I travel far for my garden plants and also my Aquarium.
  4. I always debate the flow rate but I do like things to get pounded a bit! These are the biggest fish I've ever kept in my reef tank as they came with the setup, I like them but a few will have to go in time as I like smaller rock dwelling fish more. Unfortunately they other half likes a few of them so I'll have to bend a bit!
  5. I ended up abruptly leaving saltwater almost 6 years ago after being away for a few days and coming home to a half hypoxic tank from my main pump dying on me. I would have jumped back in but a divorce followed (in a good way). I jumped back in full throttle with a 150gal with a 30 gallon sump and am in the process of connecting a 50gal tall as a display refugium. As you can see in the photos the refugium is super new it has extra filtration on it to get rid of sediments as I don't want to connect the overflow to my main system till I have macros and some life in it besides some live rock and they should be here on Thursday or so, that is why it's not full. Plus I need to get a good light on it. My tank is pretty void of corals at the moment just a few but more to come. I've been investing in dosing pumps and other equipment that didn't come with the setup when I got it and now I'm poor and can't afford corals lol. (I know you all can relate)
  6. I'm looking to buy "well" cheato a nice size chunk that will expand in the water to at least 5x8 or so. In the Albany/corvallis or surrounding area. Figure I will ask here before heading to ebay as I prefer supporting locals first if I can. shoot me a PM if you have some. Thank you =)
  7. I have an old original bio cube 28 stand that I could give you if you would like and It's black. Mine leaked and I got rid of the cube and your more than welcome to it. I'm in Albany as well.
  8. I had them so I tried them they love'em and they aren't dead so I guess they must be safe lol
  9. I put a stealhead egg in each polyp they love them as do many of my corals and anemone and the fish of course but my skimmer goes nuts too lol.
  10. Hit up habitat for humanity restore they have some cheap paint and stain depending on who donated what. Its a good place to look before buying retail the worst to happen is they don't have it. =) and always check home Depots clearance section they always have some miss color paints for cheap as dirt. I have some blueish grey exterior paint you could have for free ( i used it to paint a trailer last fall) I'm not sure where you are. I will be up in pdx on Saturday and I could bring it if you want.
  11. $%!# I wish I had a wall and the $$$ to play with that pool.
  12. I don't know exactly what's going on to be honest but I like the forum and maybe I missed a lot of the bad things that happened as I'm pretty new to this. I have met some amazing people on here and the last few days have seemed more like an MTV reality show than a reef keeping forum but to be honest I'm on dendroboard and this forum is beyond calm compared to that in my opinion. I'm glad there is people that volunteer and when I'm more financially stable I will become a paid member but you can't pay for all the forums, but I support the companies that are sponsors so in some respect my money makes it back to this forum. I am sure lots of people support sponsors on here that are non paying members and traffic drives sponsors more than paying members. I know the dues are for a reason, as I volunteered for a non profit for years but I don't think ts the driving force behind the value of a social website. The more visits and clicks the higher your add space is worth and non paying members out number paying ones. As for the edit button!! I added my input into the edit button as I figured the BOD would appreciate knowing what people want in a site not to be chastised for input. I apologize if my input was taken as anything more than trying to let them know what is easier to read and enjoy. I enjoy the site and as I said I'm new here so I'm not in the loop on lots of the situations but I do appreciate the time it takes for all involved as I have built and maintained 3 website learning as went. It took me weeks to learn how to write and rewrite codes and learn how to become top on google searches without paying someone. Unfortunately at the moment I'm unemployed so I live on investments that I made beforehand and can't pay any fees for any forums this year. I do want to say Thank You to all involved in the site development and the time you spend and there are many of us who do appreciate it!! I hope the MTV drama can be sorted out so we can all do what we all enjoy doing "BSing about reef and marine fish keeping".
  13. Hey guys, it's just a suggestion but let's just say you both agree to disagree and you both feel strongly in your opinions. I think you are both man enough to shrug this off and let this post get back to where it was intended. Super Big [emoji1] . I am sorry to hear about your shipment that sucks. Let's just be glad they have a warranty and smile that we live in the now wonderful dry warm northwest lol. I wish you the best. [emoji1]
  14. I just realized this was old delete, delete, delete lol
  15. I ran my tank with city water here in Albany and it was doing great but I have now started buying 12 stage RO and ozone water from a local company it's some of the cleanest water I have used. It cost 55.00 for a 100 gallon punch card but the system is an impressive sight and I know the water is top notch. It's a little expensive but I haven't done the math yet to see how much less per gallon it would be if I purchased the unit if I add in the cost of the water and wastewater (as it costs twice as much for wastewater as does the water) and possibly the pressure pump and electicity. From what I have found online it's about .25 to .35 per gallon (depending on the system +/- .5-.10) so I guess I could save up to half but I would have to deal with the thing and this way I can have them test the water for me and I know it's good every time. I'm sure I will spring for one sometime but for now I'm being lazy lol. It's now only water changes so not so bad at 6.00-12.00 per month since I've spent more on one drink I think for now I will live lol .
  16. I agree with the adult part all the way. In one of the posts someone brought the thread thing up. I just was giving a suggestion that addressed both issues. That's all I was saying either way editing would be good for people so I don't have to sift through 27 threads to see what's available.
  17. These are shipping from Puerto Rico so I would proceed with caution. Technically a US territory but if customs catches you with coral it's a federal charge trafficking in exotic animals without a permit. Just a word of caution and I'm not sure what the rules are for coral either but I'm sure they have some. No one go to prison or get fined thousands of dollars to try to save a few bucks, Just a thought!! I'm sure 95% of the time you get away with it but it's that 5% I would be worried about.
  18. I can see how editing could make an entire conversation change but it seems that there must be code that could be placed into the threads that would at least let you write under the original wording in the thread without having to make a string outside your post. It would basically be a string within a string (with posts you made only) and you could write Edit: that would allow for editing within the original post but keep people from changing how a conversation looks to the public. That would be the best of both worlds and would have total transparency. Why you can't close a thread you open is beyond me at least in the classified section.
  19. Sonny's stuff is amazing and his setup is top notch. Great stuff and a great guy. This is a killer deal.
