  1. Thanks to everyone who responded. We now have a rough number and we will be able to adjust if folks come that did not RSVP. Last minute attendees are WELCOME! The first round of pizza will be at 12:45 pm Sunday.
  2. Welcome to the club! In the Portland and greater area we have Cuttlefish and Corals, Upscales Fish and Reptiles, Woody's Seahorse Aquarium and Supply, and All Things Aquariums in Wilsonville. If you want a chance to talk to lots of experienced hobbyists, get good advice, and meet some new people, consider coming to the club holiday party this Sunday.

You can apply for money from our fund to purchase livestock or equipment for your tank. Fill out the Google doc and then you can purchase what you need from one of our sponsor shops. We will be announcing this with more details at our holiday party this Sunday.
  4. Looks great! Is that Water box? Which model?

  6. At the holiday party on Dec 10, we will hold a white elephant gift exchange. If you'd like to participate, just bring a wrapped present (reefing-related or not, $20 limit, and family-friendly only) to the party. Each participant will have a chance to pick a random gift to open, or to steal a gift that someone else opened. Due to time limits, a gift may only be stolen once. See you on Sunday the 10th!

  8. Another livestock raffle for the Xmas party on the 10th. Thanks for the generous donation of frogspawn frags @don_chuwish!
  9. I treat with general cure and do 40 days in copper. I do two weeks observation after that.
  10. Corals look great! Full tank shot, please! 😃
  11. It is, but it is also easy on the corals when you do it like I describe. I think it is less risky than using cipro as a dip, as cipro dips seem to be a little harsher in my experience.
  12. Yes, 2 grams per gallon of tank water for 4-6 hrs with heavy aeration for the dip. I do it 3 times with a day in between each treatment.
  13. Hi Bill: Send me a message via Facebook if you need a quicker response. If possible, I would recommend dipping these corals in a bath of OA or dipping them in addition to the whole tank treatment. The direct dip is more effective at stopping the STN. I recently saved most of my favorite Oregon Tort colony with dips. Good luck! Andy
  14. Earmuff, Orange fin, Mystery, and Checkerboard wrasses. They have added lots of movement to the tank, and they are keeping the sand bed well sifted.
  15. Many thanks to @The ReefBox for a killer collection of wrasses for the reef. They were the missing piece. I'm loving this combination of fish and corals.
