  1. I got the pics sent your way today. Sorry for the delay. We had a windstorm down here that knocked out our internet for a couple days. Yay Centurylink!! Let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you. Fewneral
  2. I will get you some pics later tonight. I have to pull it out of the corner its in to get them. The overflow was done by Charles and he also was the one to remove the internal overflows. I will email you later tonight after dinner. Fewneral
  3. Hi Guys, I just found out that I have 3 to 6 weeks to get myself moved to Kodiak, Alaska. This is forcing me to sell my 240 setup. Tank is NoobtoSalt's old 240 with all the equipment except a sump. Tank is 8x2x2 with a custom coast-to-coast overflow that is 6 feet long done by Wannareef. Tank has had the internal overflows removed. Could use a buffing but otherwise good shape. Protein skimmer (unknown brand) dual pump, dirty but worked when I last had it up Pump (again unknown brand) that runs the whole thing and all accessories through a manifold if you want to use it that way, and works well. Lighting is 4x400w MH with digital ballasts. Stand included for tank but no canopy Some salt and any other additives/other items to go with it. Heater is an 800w titanium. Looking to get $800 for it all to use as a security deposit on my new apartment in Kodiak. Please PM me and I will call back or reach me directly at 541-767-9175 and ask for Don. I will try and post pictures soon for those interested. Second setup is a 55 gallon reef Tank is a standard AGA that is 4 feet long Includes two hang on back filters 2x48 inch 2 bulb T5 lighting system This tank has a custom walnut stand and canopy that is furniture grade. It has marine grade finishes and stainless hinges. Beautiful dark wood with raised panel/inset doors and the interior is lined in melamine so its waterproof. The stand was custom built and cost $700 all by itself. UV sterilizer (small in tank with pump) 2 standard heaters 2 power heads Some live rock and sand included No fish or livestock as the kids decided to feed the fish a soda and killed off everything about a year ago and I never redid it. Included as well is all the support equipment (timers, gravel vac, surge protector, etc) Asking $400 for this setup as the stand alone is worth way more than that. Again I will get pics for those interested. I am looking to move these out quickly and it is all broken down ready to go. Prices are negotiable but I think the prices are fair or below that already. Thanks, Fewneral
  4. I may be interested in some...have to check with the wife and see if shes over being upset from my trip up to Shaun's house for some stuff earlier in the week. I think I would be interested in your purple with pink centers depending on price. I will go see if we can swing by later today if your gonna be home. Or maybe tomorrow since its a holiday I may have some time by myself to sneak some stuff into the tank hehe. Come to think of it my wife notices new additions almost immediately, I think she enjoys the tank almost as much as I do she just won't admit it. PM me your address please and maybe your phone so I can arrange a meeting time. Don
  5. I think he meant insanely low prices. I am interested in the frogspawn pls.... PM sent
  6. Ouch that sucks!! It was looking so good at the meeting. Everything was looking fine and healthy then it hits again. I hope changing out the sand bed works. Didn't you buy a bag of sand at the auction? I would just replace all the sand and rinse the tank clean rather than just rinsing the old stuff and risking it again. Good Luck Don
  7. Yep thanks for everything you guys donated. Everything is finally in the tank and all opened up. I stopped by TPA on the way home and bought some bulbs and a new wrasse to go with it all. I didn't realize how much the super actinic bulb would add to the corals "POP" but they sure do stand out. Thanks for having us up Jesse. Hope to see you guys again soon. Don
  8. When or if you part it out I would like to purchase the refractometer and calibration fluid, the dosing pumps all three, the reef safe epoxy, and your Amiracle sump. I would most likely want your RO/DI unit as well but not sure on that yet.
  9. In the past it has been my experience that most wiring uses a similar pattern. I would say that if your using AC120 power green is ground, white is neutral, black is positive. In your case I would go black to black, white to white, green to yellow w/green stripe. Blue is generally a switched power and tan/brown is usually a second neutral for the blue. Just a guess since I do not have your paperwork and have not actually seen the plugs. Hope you get it all figured out.
  10. I have an old original droid that is about 2 years old...maybe 2 1/2. I just upgraded to the Droid Razor and the old phone is just sitting in the glove compartment of the car. If you want it, I can sell it to you for about 25 dollars plus whatever it costs to mail it to you. PM me if interested and I can send you some pics. Phone still works well I just wanted something 4G capable.
  11. You can just stick the ground probe into the ground of your closest outlet. Put the red lead of your meter on the reflector and get a reading from that. A lot of times the insulation on the wires gets pinched where it goes into the reflector. Anyplace where there is a potential narrowing of the insulation poses a chance for developing a short. You may also want to look into the connectors sometimes a bent pin or a broken piece of insulator will cause a short. Another problem that can cause those issues are a sharp bend in the wires, especially solid core copper, it produces a hot spot with higher resistance in that one little section which eventually shorts to ground. That's just a few of the things I have run across in wiring. There are more but those are the easy, common, and simple to fix ones that come to mind.
  12. I'm in Cottage Grove. Probably the closest to Sutherlin of anyone and I would definitely be there if you did.
  13. Are you including anything else with the setup? Sump, pump, etc... I am looking for a big tank like this but would need a more complete starting point. Thanks Don
  14. Thanks for the information. I managed to get into Reef Tech this weekend and must say that is an awesome store. I have never seen a store that clean (exception is TPA) but the reviews online are completely true. While the store is truly impressive, the customer service on the other hand is nonexistent. I went in with my wife and kids. There was no greeting or anything from any of the 4 employees sitting behind the counter. In the 20 minutes we were in the store not one employee approached any of us. I asked for a card and received one with a begrudging thanks for stopping in. The store had an impressive inventory of nearly everything you could want. Everything seemed fairly priced and clearly marked. They had some rarer stock as well as a lot of common things but nothing was sickly or out of place. Fish were clearly marked with reef safe or not reef safe, all tanks were spotless and well kept, and most impressively to me were the coral frag tanks. They are setup so that everything is viewable (like at TPA) from the top and sides. They had probably 40 or 50 feet of shallow frag tanks that were roughly 3 feet wide and a foot deep. Nice shop but its far away and the guys at TPA are much friendlier.
  15. Hi Everyone, I am heading down to Medford this weekend for my wife's family reunion. Figured since I was down there I would ask you all if there are any nice fish stores in that area? I am going to be all over so nothing is out of the way. I will be in Trail/Shady Cove, Eagle Point, Medford, White City, Central Point, Talent, and Ashland. So if you know of any stores that I could check out that would be awesome. Thanks, Don
  16. I have been diving for over 2 decades and when I lived in that area I took the tour and if it not been so expensive I would have went. When I researched it years ago it was the premier dive school on the west coast. If you want to be a commercial diver for oil rigs and underwater salvage there is no better place.
  17. I used to hatch baby brine shrimp all the time when I had a freshwater fish hatchery. I used an upside down two liter bottle with a hole in the top for a hanger and to let air out. A little salt added and a simple whisper air pump to create a gentle flow. I ran it overnight then when I turned off the air the eggshells floated and the shrimp sank. I used about a teaspoon a day of eggs. Strain, rinse, and feed. You can get a can of eggs for not too much and it will last for months even with using more than I did. No need to do anything fancy unless you indtend to raise the shrimp to juvenile or adult size. But since your going to throw them into your tank some will inevitably survive and take root in your sump or substrate anyhow. Last time I bought brine shrimp eggs I think I paid about 25 dollars for a large can but it could be more for them now.
  18. I am interested please send me a PM. Also is it just the sump or is there a return pump or any other filtration included? Thanks Don
  19. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how high above the water to mount 2 400w Radium 20K metal halides. I am considering making a new hood and wanted to get the height right for mounting them above a standard 125 acrylic tank. Thanks in advance Don
  20. Been sending emails but not sure if they are getting thru. Shoot me a PM again please with your phone and a good time to call so we can work out some details. Thanks Don
  21. I am interested in the whole thing. Shoot me a PM and some pics please. I was going to upgrade my tank in September to a 180 or bigger but a complete system for what your asking is something I think I can do.
  22. I would love a frag of that for my tank. Shoot me a PM I am in Cottage Grove and am in Eugene daily.
  23. Do you have any Gold Banded Maroon Clowns for sale by chance? I could use another anemone and I really want some gold banded maroon clowns. Let me know please if your in the market to move a few. Don
