  1. But I agree 100% that John’s method is the one to actually follow
  2. I’d say 25-25-25-25-90 chance. The adapter kits I’ve had include at least 5 different sizes.

    Show off

Sorry, just wanted to show off my milli. Maricultured piece I got from Jeff straight out of the box as he pulled it from the bag a few months back. Right place at the right time I guess. I beat Brad to it! It’s so my favorite coral in my tank! Cool to know and have this group in my life, especially during this last year! I very much appreciate each and every one of you.
  4. Crap, there’s multiple sizes for those plug types. I’ve seen multi adapters come with an assortment of most of them. Buy the adapters, then get 3’ extender with any two wire plug design
  5. Makes me wonder if it’s some sort of bacteria, and rowaphos somehow kills it.
  6. Very interesting, and thanks for sharing. Have you posted up on larger forums? I'd be interested to see what the bigger audience has seen and experienced with this. Sounds like it could be a good prophylactic or a good first step to try when nothing else jumps out.
  7. Have 2 of these Gen 4 with RMS tank mounts for sale. Excellent condition. $300 each or $550 for pair.
  8. I’ll be selling my (2) XR30 G4 non pro Radions with diffusers and RMS tank mounts once I get my new lights from Cuttlefish. Those would be pretty solid choice I think.
  9. Omg. I literally clicked on this expecting a play on the cdc change of time for quarantine...
  10. That sucks John, and believe me it's something I think we've all gone through. Something I've done different in my current build is allowing room all around for water flow to avoid detritus build up like my old system had. I think that can have an impact, even if numbers don't show it. And by the way, the tricolor frag I picked up from you is doing fantastic so I'll be able to return the favor when you're ready for it.
  11. I pull with my kamoer, but mostly due to my method of refilling and purging air after a media refill. Depends on the vintage of your geo. I modeled their design 2 years ago and had to modify the co2 recirculating loop
  12. Ah, I see what you did there... took me a few times through!
  13. You're talking about roughly 125 lbs/sq ft, which is not really anything to engage a structural engineer for. If you're near an external wall, or near a floor area with structural wall below it, even less to worry about. I believe code is 300 lbs/sq ft load for floor design. Second floor isn't designed for a lighter load than main floor btw.
  14. Hah, I'm finding myself entrenched in Black Friday pricing for an algae reactor. Could just be the covid stress, but I'm thinking I might want to try one of these.
  15. Please add me to the list for LED version. Going to need to tune my new lights when I get them!
  16. I recommend autotopoff.com. Get a relay with float switch and solenoid valve to fill your reservoir, but put the solenoid on a timer that runs maybe an hour twice a day. I've been running like this for about 10 years.
  17. Nice video link! I was having trouble understanding what it was, but the video shows it quite well.
  18. Group, there is a guy on Reef Central with one of these for sale for $100. He offered to ship for extra $13. It's simply way too big for my aquarium though. Anyone else with giant tank need this, I highly recommend doing search over there and grabbing this.
  19. Wow, pretty disappointing to hear Ecotech would specifically tout this for continuous duty and these are the results. I'm pretty happy with my Kamoer. I replace the tubing once a year or so just because I'm afraid not to. I have two rollers, and alternate them after soaking in ATF for lubrication. Otherwise they get noisy Not sure I recommend wifi, but not sure if they still have the old version. Some things are better kept simple like a dial for flow imo
