  1. No attempts of the mantis eating the fish, or is the key to always keep it well fed?
  2. Thanks sergebmw3! @Smann - I'll put up some closer pics but there are acrylic rods going up through the 2 columns, they are glued to a flat acrylic base that is sitting on the glass bottom- this also made me feel better in case something fell or if a rock were to drop onto the bottom. So I just drilled through the rocks to fit the rods, there are also a couple zip ties helping with the rocks making the horizontal bridge.
  3. From a couple weeks ago, haven't had a chance to take pics lately Hitchhiker Acro crab
  4. Is the Balling Method essentially 2 part?
  5. Have you checked your water parameters lately?
  6. Just a quick update- ammonia is zero, nitrite is at about .5 and nitrate 50- nitrite is taking forever lol. Algae is now starting mainly in the sump and a a few tiny spots in the display tank- *twiddles thumbs* (whistle)
  7. Well mine is painfully slow- no issues with threads disappearing- tracert shows when it hops to miami and to dimenoc.com/hostdime is when it is slow, that would tell me the host provider has an issue-
  8. So so sorry for your loss :( Would something like polyfilter help with something like this, although water changes and carbon I would assume will get rid of most of the bad stuff if the nem died- keep us updated-
  9. What I used on my 6 light setup is 3 blue plus, 1 purple plus and 2 aquablue specials which is similar to madmike's suggestion-
  10. I went for the eco rock and some of their shelf rock and am super happy with it
  11. Great looking clam, hopefully he makes it through just fine- Ohhhh how do I enroll for the clam police?? I want one of those snazzy badges!
  12. It has settled but the water is still slightly milky looking, I think because my Koralias keep moving the sand a little bit from the flow-
  13. Yeah you are right, we played around with flow and different fittings and got it quieter, I also put some media on the skimmer outlet to help with dampening water noise- So after starting this tank on 1/16 with a raw shrimp the levels are now 2 ppm ammonia which was recently off the chart, nitrites are now off the chart- or at least a shade I can't find on the card lol- and 20 ppm nitrate. The fines from the sugar sand is still blowing around some so it's not crystal clear yet, will take some more pics once it looks a little better
  14. Welcome and congrats on the new tank!
