  10. We have cement pathway to the front door with a step mid-way. He was hauling up the front walk at full speed, little guy doesn't have much clearance from the ground as-is - when he jumped to clear the step -- he didn't -- and his front left leg took the brunt of the impact. Going to have to figure something out for the path...
  11. Sorry, taken a few days for the updated pic. It's been crazy lately - we've moved as well. Thank you for all the thoughts - I really really appreciate it. I'll be back with a tank at some point down the road, my sw tank has been a real joy to build and setup. And this forum is really awesome. For those interested - the surgery had to happen immediately otherwise the break would have not been fixable. He had surgery last Friday, pins and screws in his leg but the doc was able to pull it back together. He's doing well other thank hating being in his crate all the time! His name is Arthur Fonzarelli - "Fonzie".
  12. My 5 month puppy broke his front leg in 2 places last weekend and ended up in surgery on Friday. With a sudden $3k bill, I have/had to make a choice of give him a good life and sell my tank to help fund or keep the tank and put him down (which couldn't be an option in my mind). So, with a heavy heart about the tank, here we go -- 7 Month old 27G Glass Cube (No Scratches). Tank is in wonderful shape with coralline algae growing nicely. The jewels of this tank are the mated pair Ocellaris Clowns, the lay a clutch of eggs every couple weeks. Don't be mistaken - this is their tank and they take a part in dictating what you put in, including your hand They have really grown on me and are pretty amazing to watch... The cleaner shrimp produce eggs regularly as well. Copepod & Amphipod Population is increasing nicely. Everything is healthy, there are no diseases or pests - every once in awhile I see a bristleworm but they just help clean the tank. The attached pictures are from my build - I have newer ones and will post later today when I get home. The whole setup investment is around $2200~$2500. I obviously need to sell fast so I'll let it go for $750 OBO. --- Equipment --- Marineland Tank w/ Black Stand (Drilled 27g Cube, 12G Sump) (20"W x 18"D x 20"H) Eheim Pump (900 gph) Bubblemax Protein Skimmer (InSump) Ecoplus Chiller (1/4 HP) SunPod 150W MH Light, w/ Blue and White Moonlight LED LED for Sump Misc pumps, hoses, Chemicals, Test Equp..etc Digital Timer Power Strip --- Livestock --- ~35lbs Liverock Live Sand 2 Ocelleris Clowns 1 Firefish 1 Blue Tuxedo Urchin 2 Cleaner Shrimp Hermit Crabs/Snails Horseshoe Crab --- Coral --- 6 Headed Green Torch Xenia (multple conlonies) Deep water Eagle Eye Zoa Colony (~20 heads) Toadstool Leather 5 Headed Deadra Unknown Zoa (2 heads) Frogspawn (4~5 heads) Montipora (~3x3")
  13. NoobtoSalt - Hey! sorry I didn't see this thread sooner. I bought this tank from your store a few months back when you had the one with the damaged bottom. I've been meaning to post a build thread but I'm just a slacker and haven't. Tank is beautiful! I had it drilled in the back for the drain and then 2 returns so I could split the return and have one go through my chiller when needed and to get more water flow. It was TOUGH to find a sump for underneath that would fit the dimensions. I ended up finding a 12G tub at Home Depot that fit perfect. The LED's aren't enough so I used a 150W Pod I already had and then mounted the LEDS in the cabinet below to light the sump for macro algae (it fits perfect.) In the pic's below, the HOB skimmer fit so perfect that part of the frame actually supported it. Since then, I've removed it though because I wanted a stronger skimmer and went with and in-sump skimmer. Tight fit but it works great. Only thing's I'd do different is, instead of the direct drain - I'd probably try and figure out how to put an overflow attached on the back to allow for a durso pipe and be a bit quieter. I also still need to mount the light's above the tank so I can pull the glass off, currently the Pod is just sitting on it because it's only 20" and won't stretch. Note - you'll notice the water level in a few of the pics was low in the tank. I kept it low until I worked everything out - it's all filled now so there is no water line showing. I'll try to get some newer pics when I get a chance. - Matt
  14. picked up a tiger (i believe) cowry and I've seen it on the zoa's a few times. My colony (deep water eagle eye) has been reduced by 50% in the last few weeks. some pretty large one's there one day, gone the next. Nudi's are pretty small so I'd think that it would take them a bit to mow one down - and I'd see stumps in the process but maybe I'm wrong here. anyway - for now it's banished to the sump, hopefully that puts an end to it. Although I did see my hermit in there today too.... - M
  15. mw2 on ps3 (among other games but his get's the most play right now.) man, it's been awhile since I looked at my ID, but I believe it's "mmartian_" - M
