  1. What awesome wrasses!!!! What is the name of the 1st Wrasse? Absolutly beautiful!!!!
  2. MAYBE someone can Help! OK so it has been what 3-4 weeks since We got the salinity under control! Most Everything is slowly coming back but the one thing I have not seen any positives out of is my Neon Green Star polyps. And now I am seeing some of the purple corline algea growing on the edges. CAN IT STILL COME OUT OF IT????? Here is a Pic that I took today!
  3. The third pic is a Lunar Wrasse she is Beautiful and Moves all the time. Green with Pink Markings. The Last Pic is a Dragon Wrasse
  4. Here are a few of my wrasses that I have had in two diffrent Tanks over the last couple of years! My Favorite is the one with all the fishies in a row. They were waiting to be fed and I LOVE this pic. I Love them all!!!
  5. So ok , you think I should get 6 - 10 little 3 - 4 inch cc stars? would that be enough so that they could regenerate? So they are OK in the sump? What about light? Can they get out? or do I need to rig something for them to be in the sump? What do they (CC Stars) eat if I wanted to feed them, What do they Eat in the sump If I don't Feed them? I know lots of questions! I Love my little harlequins and that sounds like a very good way to keep the budget down.
  6. I just got 2 harlequins so if they are eating the abundance of brittle stars in the tank do you still give them a cc starfish leg a week? I just got the two but I never see them together do I only give 1 leg or do i give them each 1??? How long does it take them to find it??
  7. Everything is good now Salt is back up and paremeters are all good. Now just a Waiting game to see what will Survive and Thrive.
  8. Don't know exact numbers. My Husband did the Testing and said they were all in Range and then we took the water to Issac and He told us the same thing. that the only thing that was off was Salinity and the alk needed to go up a little.
  9. Thank you everyone for your help, imput and sugesstions! I now have my salt level up to 1.022 and Should be right back to normal in a day or so. My Purple star polyps have started to peak out but so far nothing else seems to be doing any better. I am sure it will take some time, Hopefullly not too long my hammer coral has retracted and you do not see much for green on that skeleton. Any one know how long till I see some Good Results? I want to see all my Babies Back:)
  10. It Was a Refractometer that got me in this mess to begin with!!!!!!(nono) Had my salt tested and my Hydrometer Tested and they are right on!!! Went back to the "Original Place" That told me otherwise, to test my water again (same water as above) and They still told me my Salinity was at 1.023. I would have totaly lost everything if I did not get a second opinion. (MONTHS LATER, and a lot of Sad and /or Dead Corals and Dead Clams etc., Later!!!!) (sad)
  11. Ok, It is a very well established tank, we have had the 180 since July of 2007 and before that everything came out of my 120 and 75 which was a year and a half old. We have been putting it in the filter sock in the sump About a cup every couple hours when he was home but not since this morning. we started last night so probably a total of 4 cups so far. Yes I have been Running my tank about that salinity for a few months now because someone told us our salt meeter was off ( Coralife Deep Six) and IT WAS NOT. So everything in my tank has been dying and receding for quite a while now. Most of my Livestock is gone or about gone. SO WE WILL SEE WHAT SURVIVES AND THRIVES AFTER THIS MESS!
  12. OK, MY SALINITY is really low 1.019 Need to get it back up to 1.023 How much should we do at a time and how often???? I have a 180 gal tank with a 30 gal Sump. We have been putting some (Not sure exact amount my husbands been doing it.) in the filter in the sump off and on since last night but it does not seem to be going up. HELP!!!
  13. Yes thank you, We were told do do it slowly. I guess only time will tell. it will be a waiting game to see what actually survives and thrives. I know there are a few that are beyond coming back.
  14. ok Tested water again today! PH low 7.9 and Our alkalinity is low 2.5 Also took a sample of water to Issac and Our salt was at 1.019 1/2. We were told months ago that our meeter was off so we adjusted. Turns out it was NEVER off so we have been Running our salt right about there "for months". No wonder everything is dying!! Thank you everyone for your help I thought we would never get his figured out!!! We have a 180 gal with a 30 gal Sump. It has been going on for months! I lost my wrasse a few months ago (not sure if this had anything to do with that) All other fish are good. My Clam died about 2 Months ago and other then that everything else is dying and or deteriating. (EXCEPT that Stupid kenya tree that my husband seems to like for what ever reason.) I don't think you could kill that if you tried. My husband is going to do a water change and get the salt were it is suppose to be tonight. I do not know how long it will take to see any change!
  15. Ok I know they are not the Asterinas I may have seen 1 or two in my tank the whole time I have owned. They are little long legged black gray starfish. Hundreds if not thousands LOL. When I feed they are coming up and out and thru everything. We will Take Our water to the saltwater place and have them test maybe something is off with our testing.
  16. All of my corals are dying off. 4 different Star polyps, xenia, Leather, bubble coral, my tube anenome has move twice in the last 2 weeks and has been in the same place for over a year. I have noticed a HUGE number of brittle starfish in my tank... I believe that is what is killing them. I found someone who hopefully is giving me a couple of harliquin shrimp. I am hoping that will solve the issue! What do you think??????? Could it be something else??? Need to save my tank!! Another Question: How do you know when your Leathers are DEAD? Mine have fallen off but they are still so bright Green?
  17. All I know is we had hair algea and WE bought a couple of Sea hares (Slugs) and They cleared it up. We also had the green bubbles and we bought a copper banded butterfly fish who ate them right up she also ate the tiny little nuscence feather dusters (she also ate my big ones but it was a acceptable trade off.) and the glass anemones. These were two of my best purcheses.
