  3. Why don't you adjust your white balance.
  4. Moved clownfish babys to grow out tank today. 41 baby head counted. Grow out tank cycled. Negative tank for ammonia, negative nitrates, negative nitrite. pH 8.4. happy baby's.
  5. So it's day 27. Here are my clownfish percules there are 30 in this batch it was a very weak batch. Normally I have 50 to 60. But here they are. Some are starting to show signs of their second stripe and they are turning orange. They are eating flake food and baby brine shrimp. They haven't moved out to their grow up tank yet but it is all set up. They are going to move shortly they have zero ammonia in their tank zero nitrite. pH 8.2. their nitrates is 50 parts per million but I'm not worried about that because babies can take that. And I'm not going to do another water change until I move them. When I move them they just get tossed into their new tank. To acclimate them is a bad thing that can stress them out and kill them All at that age. But I will make sure the water temperature and all the tests are the same before I move them. Both tanks got the water from the same tank so they're exact. Except for the nitrate of course. Just a couple more days and they get moved over and get their first filter.

    Percula babys

So this is day 16 of my percula babies. They are eating baby brine shrimp and tdo a and b. As you can see most of them have metamorphosis and got their first stripes but some of them have it yet. The ones that have metamorphosis have sunk down mainly to the bottom of the tank like they usually do. This will normally freak out a new breeder because they'll just disappear and be at the bottom of the tank and you can't figure out why but that's part of their behavior. They are getting a nice water change the last one and then the next thing they'll get is a grow out tank at about 3 to 4 weeks. So no more water changes after this. There are about 40 babies. They're orange coloring should show up more prominently in the next couple days.
  9. My breeding pair of clowns laid eggs today. First clutch on this pair. So excited. Gotta get another fry tank going now. Because I have baby percula clownfish going now. Pic of mom and dad.
  10. I hope you enjoy your copepods
  11. Sorry with school and what not no traveling for me.
  12. Here's some will have adults and baby's and eggs. Just luke reef nutritions bottles
  13. This size bottle high density.
  14. Keep rotifers with air and green water 8n the dark and they will produce like nuts. Don't do tons of water changes. Mine seem to like it a little murky the rotifers I mean
  15. They look like a tummy and head. Ver go peanuts. That's how full their tummy's need to be
  16. I do my first water change about day 4. Ammonia out stuff is your friend. Water changes stress them out. They can take up to 1.0 on ammonia.
  17. If they die within 48 hours it's normally starvation density of rotifers are big enough there's not enough green water so the light can make it hard for them to see food. There might not have been enough air in the tank for the amount of rotifers that you had in there. But my best guess is starvation at that 48 hour. They might have enough rotifers but what you're feeding your rotifers might not be the best that's a possibility too.
  18. I have live copepods fed nanno green water for sale. 15 bucks a bottle. I'm in Springfield.
  19. To meta faster tank temp should be warm. 80 to 82 degrees f. Sand they need to look like peanuts. At day 5 I feed tdo a. I've tried sooner but they don't take it and it pollutes
  20. I have done 14 or 15 clutches. On occellarius on day three I start baby brine shrimp and rotifers or the clowns won't grow and starve bbs can't be more than 48 hours old. Tinted tank with green water of course. Feed 3 to 4 times a day.
  21. What species are you breeding
  22. Why did u loose so many? I normally make it through metamorphosis with at least 50
  23. Day 2 baby Nemo's eating rotifers. In green water. These are percula baby
