So I go to Portland State University . I am taking a class online called communications and groups. We needed to come up with a group name and we On zoom. I was taking my zoom in the bedroom with the fish tanks. Someone saw my nemos in the background. Because I breed them. Now my group is called clownfish.
To make matters worse. I have a 14 page paper, a research paper. I am submitting on monday on clownfish And clownfish breeding.
My school is all nemos. Now I only have one class worth no nemos. Who knows a clownfish metaphor?

Yes I got some power yesterday evening and then it’s been off and on today. Im out in thurston. I have a generator and my 60g up and running. If you need anything let me know. I’ve noticed my mushroom corals don’t like the cold and all my clownfish died.
I wish I had known at the time. I could have housed your fish. I have breader boxes

Hope everyone is doing well and they are keeping their tanks warm.
Power came back on for me after 52 hours.
Bad
- Complete loss of life in all tanks (240g total).
- Halted all pod production. Unknown if total loss. With my luck it'll just be Tigriopus and rotifers alive.
- breeding projects....gone
- bacteria culture projects..... gone
Good
- saved all of the phytoplankton in my collection. Shaken on the hour every hour.
- only thing to survive the tank wipes was Sargassum (prefers cooler temps)
- mangroves are fine
Ran a Ecoflow delta, Yeti 1500x, and hooked up a marine battery. Managed to keep power up for close to 40 hours. After that I was charging power cells st work to take home.
But in the end it was not enough. I staggered what I could, went manual where I could. The hardest part was keeping the heat up in my apartment.
Next time I'll get a place with wood burning capability or allow gas/propane generator.
Maybe I just had too many things to take care of. The big glass sliding door facing a frozen creek didn't help either, terrible insulation.
Regardless, it was definitely a learning experience for me.
Not sure where to go from here. Stepping away is not likely. Though my heart is definitely not in it right now.
I'm in Springfield but I have rotifers and copepods alive. Hopefully your just went into hibernation.

Did you get power yet? Are you in Thurston area?

So I get 10 hours on the power bank then fish get caught in bucket and put by fireplace. Bucket living.

So my electric went out. My aquariums are in the garage where it's twenty nine degrees. I have a portable power bank. That's 2000 Watts, running one tank with all my fish in it From four Aquariums I have little Boxes with Clown fish In them in one. Hope electricity comes on soon.

I go to portland state university. I am doing another assignment on clown breeding behavior. Is anyone currently breeding clown. If so what is your survival rate? I breeding but I need more data than my own.

Can I get a pic of the bicolor hammer
-
That's a ocellaris. You can count it's fin number. If it was a maroon it would be a different color with different fin count on top.
-
I do not see a maroon clownfish

We need about two buckets 5 gallons of rotofers to take care of the babies your first clutch might just die. I'd say get it all set up before you hatch

It's going to be those copepods first. I'd see if you can get some from a store. I know if you ask Petco sales some. I'd load your tank. Once you get eating then he'll start taking other things.

So the store called me saying that they had a mandarin come in that they couldn't get to eat and he wasn't doing well. So I came and got them right away. I didn't think he was going to make it through the night let alone two night's. But a month later I have fun chunky Mandarin. I have copapods growing in containers at my house so he is super well fed and a Happy Mandarin. He also eats frozen brine, and pellets super small now. I also feed him live Brine I hatch.

After 18 years with me. my mommy clown of thousands of baby's died. I'm so sad. She was the nicest clown ever. My percula died. Looks like old age got her.
Good bye my girl.
I've been quick though added a platinum into the tank pretty sure is a male. So I have two males to fight it out for new mommy.
