  1. My setup would be for a reef. I think I am going with 3 MP40's on the back wall and make changes if necessary. Thanks for the help.
  2. Thanks for the feedback reefnjunkie. It is interesting to hear that you didn't like. Did you run 1 or 2 on your tank? My prospective tank would be 60 X 36. I was just about set on the MP60's until your post. Now I'm not exactly sure.
  3. I am thinking about setting up a tank and trying to figure out if I would want MP40's or MP60. Noise is a major consideration for the wife. I had MP40's on a tank a few years ago and the noise was bearable but noticeable. MP60's would be more water movement than I could use but was thinking of running them at low power to try to quiet them down. If anybody is using them and would be willing to let me observe their tank I would be greatly appreciative. Or share experience would be great to.
  4. Hi Kim. Yes I am thinking about setting up a tank. Would you PM me his number? Thanks. Jake
  5. It has been a long time since I have been on this board. Anybody know if Isaac is still around? I lost his contact info.

  7. CA2OR, make me an offer and you can disconnect the lighting and resell it yourself.
  8. CA2OR, I don't want to mess with un-wiring the lighting. I wouldn't even know how to do that. At this point I would not be interested in selling it that way.

  14. I am holding on to the Vortechs. Everything else is for sale. I also forgot that the tank includes 2 one inch sea swirls as well. And to your question CA2OR the system is turnkey. I have been running it successfully for almost 3 years on the present equipment.
  15. I am clearing out the last of my corals and hope to have that done within the next week. All of my rock is sold also, so my entire tank less the livestock will be for sale. I am offering it for the next week as a package for $1500. Based on my experience nobody is going to want the whole thing so if it doesn't sell I will piece out the parts. You are welcome to come over and view it anytime. Here are the supplies that I can think of. Cherry wood stand and canopy 180 gallon acrylic Truvu tank (6X2X2) canopy has four 6' actinic bulbs and three single end 400W halides 3 icecap electronic halide ballasts 1 icecap actinic ballast Red Sea Berlin X2 protein skimmer Precision marine calcium reactor with C02 tank Blue line 55 and Blue Line 100 pumps C-0500 Pacific Coast Imports 1/2hp chiller A bunch of various stuff for tank maintenance like a mag float acrylic cleaner, scrapers, refractometer, reactor media, phosphage media, etc. $1500 for the whole thing. The cabinetry alone cost me $2000. Send me a PM to set up an appointment to view it.
  16. Everything is sold. Thank you very much for the interest. This is the last of my corals for sale. I will frag the remaining colonies on a first come first serve basis. Or frag them yourself and make some money. Please respond by PM if you want something. Hoping to have these gone by the weekend so preference given to people that can come soon.
  17. Probably $10, maybe $15 for a larger one.
  18. all equipment will be up for sale once the live stuff is gone. Shooting for the next 1-3 weeks depending on how fast things sell. Open to offers for the whole tank and setup or I will piece things out.
  19. Will look at offers on anything that is left. Worst I can say is no Setosa, plate coral, and zoa rock pending. Not much left. What you see is what is left. Superman Milli gone. Sunset monti gone but I have 1 more colony just like it plus a couple of frags. Green symphyllia, ORA green birdsnest sold. Birds of paradise sold. I will probably be fragging a lot of these unless I get some interest in colonies tonight. If you want frags get a hold of me and I will start chopping them up. I will remove photos once they are sold. If you see it it is still available. Attached are some photos of things for sale. I have some other corals as well but this is the majority of what I have left. I would prefer to sell these as colonies but obviously the price is a lot higher. If the colonies don't sell in the next few days get a hold of me and I will begin to make less expensive frags. Or frag them yourself and make some money. Sometimes I get a lot of people wanting the same coral, so to be fair please send me a PM with your request. That makes it easier to keep track of who was first. Also my camera sucks. These corals look a lot better in person. If you come over and you are not happy with the coral you don't have to buy it, but usually the people that come over are not dissappointed. Thanks. Peach birdsnest with green tips: $100 about 12" X 12". You could make dozens of frags out of this I forget what they call this one, I think maybe orange sarmentosa? $60 each of the little colonies is about 1.5" round. Probably not going to come off of the rock in 1 piece so I am selling it attached to the 10lb rock. Green stylophora: $65 5-6" round Some type of orange zoas: $30 per 1" disc. I have 2-3 discs covered. Each one has probably 30 polyps. Deep water zoa rock: Ignore the PPE colony. This is the rock right next to that. 3 types of deep water zoas. bought from Perry a couple of years ago. At least 20 polyps of each variety. $75 Pokerstar Montipora: $80. 4" round. A huge piece. Also has about 2 one inch frags of sunset monti growing on the side. Sunset montipora: $80. At least 5" round. You could make a lot of frags with this one. Duncans: $200. I have seen these referred to as the big head duncans on this board. If you give them light flow the big heads can open to 2-3" each. I would estimate about 50 heads. Pink/Purple Australian Frogspawn: $60. 6-7". I bought this from Perry. The color is very unusual. I think it looks a shade of pink but others think it looks more purple.
  20. Here are a few things for sale. Sometimes I get a bunch of calls all at once so please send me a PM first if you want something held. I will hold corals based on the order of the PM's. These are available for pick up today and tomorrow in the Clackamas area. Trying to get these out by the end of the weekend because weekdays are bad for me. Thanks. Jake Everything that has been sold is now removed. If you see it here it is still available. Had a few people come over and decide to buy something else so several of the pending items are now back for sale. bright red chalice: bought this at Upscales a couple of years ago from one of their Australian orders. It is approximately 4.5" round. $60 Red cap colony: about 9" across and 6" deep. $60 Green with purple rim cap: about 10" across and 5-6" deep. I also have another 4-5" piece not pictured that is included. The smaller piece broke off from the main colony. $75 Pink chalice: Bought this from Isaac a long time ago. The section on the photo that appears dead is actually superglue. I fragged this piece and put a line of glue over the unhappy tissue. About 4" X 2". $30 Green monti digi colony: about a 6" colony. $35 True purple people eater colony: I count 23 adult polyps and a few babies. $150 for the colony. I am hoping not to frag this one. If this is too expensive maybe a few people can split it and save some money. Individual polyps go for $20 on reef central so I am sure somebody could make their money back by fragging it up.
