  1. Everything is spoken for. If nobody shows up to pick it up I'll let you know. Thanks.
  2. I just keep pumping it myself. Screw Oregon's dumb laws. I even pulled the hose out of the car in front of me the other day and handed them their receipt.
  3. Unloading some leftovers from my salt tank. I have a spool of 3/4" and 1" flexible PVC or Spa Flex. Stuff is $2-3 a foot in Home Depot. Also about 6-8 foot of 2" Spa Flex. Good for CLS systems. Come and get it, FREE! Also an Aquasafe 6 stage RO/DI system and storage tank. Used 2 years. Needs fresh filters and a little clean up. $20. I don't get on here ever any more so email me at: sseverson@pccstructurals.com or call 503-781-8563 if I can post my number on here with it getting erased. (rock2)
  4. I just keep pumping my own and get the lecture almost every time. Been back in Oregon 5 years now and still haven't got a ticket for pumping it. Honestly, I don't think I ever will.
  5. Yep, whole systems are tough sells. That's for sure.
  6. Well, after about 4 years I'm considering parting with my 120 setup for a number of reasons. Costs, kids, maintenance and an increasing lack of interest I suppose. There's pics of it somewhere on here I will have to dig up that may be a bit outdated but it's got plenty of stuff in it. I don't have anything exotic, just a lot of the usual. This is real brief and I may get more detailed when I got a few more minutes but I'm running: Halides VHO's Precision Marine Calcium Reactor ASM G3 skimmer Dart closed loop system Hood fans 30 gallon sump Pacific Coast Chiller 1/4hp 5 fish Couple of RBTA's Buncha corals. 200lbs of live rock Rock lifts etc. etc. I know it's nearly impossible to sell a system whole but it's worth a shot. This is everything you need essentially unless you wanna change something. I'm not entirely sure I wanna do this but I guess if I get a good offer I will take it. If not, then I may decide to part it out (PITA) Looking for $2500
  7. I don't buy either of the arguments presented in the last two posts. I've been in California for the last 17 years and have never run into either of the two problems you mentioned. I think old folks just find the stations that offer full serve. Pumps randomly pump faster or slower depending on where you go, they aren't set slower in self serve states. I guarantee you from 17 years experience in CA and almost the same amount of years in Oregon that I CAN pump my gas in half the time the pump jockey's do it and my gas cap is always put back on right and my car isn't a mess. You act like the weather here is so severe that you don't wanna get out and pump your gas. It rarely reaches triple digits here and barely below freezing at least in Portland so that argument is out the window. Try central CA (114 degree easy) or northern Idaho (below zero) and they all pump their gas without crying about it. I think some of you Oregonians have just grown complacent with the situation.
  8. I'm not at all concerned about the price going up or down with full or self in this thread. Just simply whether or not people prefer to wait inline for it to be pumped or to get out and pump it theirselves. I for one cannot stand having it pumped for me or watching cars sitting their waiting for an attendant.
  9. So what do PNWMAS members think? For those out of staters that don't know pumping your own gas in Oregon and New Jersey is illegal. I've ran this poll on TRT and the overwhelming majority was for self service though voters from full service states voted in favor of full service by a tiny margin. What does PNWMAS think? http://selfservefororegon.ning.com/
  10. I know its not easy, constantly bagging and having to top off and maintain the salinity. But in the end it's really much easier for customers and livestock. I don't have a quarantine tank or room for one and it's impossible for me to acclimate any longer than 2 hours. It's my belief that I've lost a ton of livestock due to poor salinity numbers at LFS. It doesnt do any good to run low salinity to prevent disease only to lose livestock trying to acclimate back to normal salinity.
  11. Heh, are you kidding? Getting a CWP (or sorry, a CHL as mentioned above) is a piece of cake in Oregon. Attend a lame class for $25, send in your certificate and there you go.
  12. I just wanted to give Upscales props for actually having their salinity at 1.026. I think this is the first time EVER that I've tested LFS water and had the salinity correct or even close. Many times it's down below 1.020 and it's just harsh on the livestock trying to acclimate. Thumbs up!
  13. Just curious if the speech and Q&A could be videotaped for people that can't make it. I'd be willing to pay $$ for a DVD copy of it. Maybe $5 each?
  14. http://thereeftank.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91529 That's a good thread. Some good pics.
  15. The best way I've found for heavy scratches is to start with a palm sander with ~2000 grit sand paper. If it's not coming out, go to some more agressive paper. Then work your way back to the 2000. After your done sanding use the Novus scratch remover you can get at Tap Plastics, or your LFS for twice the price. Start with the 3 and work your way to the 1 (just a cleaner really). It's a lot of hard work polishing, you can get polish discs for a drill which help. It's a lot of hard work though, I spent all day doing it to my jacked up tank.
  16. It looks nice, yes, just too big, too much scrolling around. The buttons on the left are twice as big as they need to be IMO. I have a lot of local family in web development who may be able to offer some suggestions for what you want to do.
  17. Ummm, Sorry but I liked it better the other way. Unless your running very very high resolution this page isn't going to fit on anyones screen. Would it be possible to shrink it down a bit? Kind of annoying to scroll up and down just to see all the buttons. I'm running 1024x768 which is probably pretty standard. Sean S.
  18. How did you make it in to see the tank? Is the office open yet?
  19. I think my bro in law said he ran 5-6 20amp circuits for it, then they called and said they needed more.
  20. I posted regarding this tank, http://thereeftank.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79836 Just wondered if anyone had heard of it or knew who Critter Cabana was. Sean
