  1. where the fu(*&^%!! did the last 2 hours go?...oh yeh, i was on that tank tour....fun site -Ron
  2. I would never buy one based on the fact that there is a prism skimmer in there (or what appears to be). IMO those things are worse than not having a skimmer. Possibly a decent system for a beginer that would be like a plug and play system......but is a nano really for your AVERAGE beginer??just my opinion. -Ron
  3. I LOVE this calculator. I have been using it for quite a while now. -Ron

  14. it is a ballast from aquariumlights.com . I believe it is magnetic and not electronic. As for par rating, I am not that concerned. As far as I know, the bluer you go the lower par you get right? I get great growth out of my 14k hammies. - I have heard good things about the radiums. thanx for the input. -Ron
  15. hi, Well, I am overdue to replace my bulbs and was thinking of switching to 20k. My current setup is 2x250watt single end 14k hamilton metal halide with no actinc supplement. I have been happy with these bulbs, but would like a little more blue. Any suggestions on a brand of bulb? I would like a nice balanced color but obviously (20k) also want a decent amount of blue. thanx in advance. -Ron
  16. hey charlie!! nice to see you on the board. -ron
  17. You probably need to flush out the GAC for a good hour to blast out all the fine particulate carbon, after that, you should get a tds reading of 0. This worked for me -Ron
  18. I am having the same issue -Ron
