They have extremely nice picnic areas' date=' both covered and uncovered. I will volunteer to help haul any and all stuff!! You can quote me on that :D[/quote']

What are their BBQ Grills like? Are there small grills near each table or a large grill for several tables? Should be bring grills or find out if Jay(Chief) still has access to that BBQ Grill Trailer?

Any access to electricity?

Smith Creek Meeting Hall sounds like it could work!

Only $150.00 too! Has AV hook ups too it sounds like plus chairs and tables.

Sounds like we would need BBQs and food and drinks.

Sounds good to me.

On a side note it would be nice if the club can find a place that we could call "home" and use for all Speakers, Xmas, and BBQs.

Too bad it has an occupancy limit of 86. We could easily exceed that when we have speakers. We should look into it though, and ask about larger groups. http://www.silverfallsconference.com/day_meetings.htm

We are on the right track looking for meeting places. Possibilities are The Masonic Hall that GPAS uses http://www.gpas.org/ , or something similar.

Nature Interpretative Centers like this might be another good option. http://www.visitwashingtoncountyoregon.com/Play/Great%20Outdoors/10970.aspx

I know of one Marine Aquarium Society, SEA BAY http://www.seabay.org/ , that uses the Baylands Interpretative Center in Palo Alto for their meetings. Finding something like this would be awesome.

If it moves to Eugene/Springfield' date=' Ive got 41 acres out in the country. About a 5-10 minute drive from fall creek/richardson park which is a beautiful place to swim and hang out. Just tossin it out there![/quote']

We should definitely have an event there sometime. I saved this message as a reminder. Thanks!(rock2)

2009 Silver Falls BBQ

If we are to have our 2009 PNWMAS BBQ at Silver Falls in August, we will need at least a few people to show up at 8:00AM when the park opens to secure an area. We would be using the South Falls day-use area.

There is a $3 per vehicle day-use charge. No reservations for day-use are needed, but we will need some of us to be there early, as I said. There are small BBQ grills, and it is possible that the trailer grill that Jay had at our 2006 BBQ at Olsen Woods can be used also.

Overnight camping needs to be reserved in advance. I hear they fill up fast for the Summer, so you will need to make any reservations early if you plan to stay overnight.
