Exodus Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 That's basically it, Looking for a good solid heater for my sump heating a 125Gallon Quote
dsoz Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It is not good to buy used heaters. They tend to be one piece of equipment that goes bad often (thermostats). They tend to get stuck in the "on" position and cook your tank. It is better to buy one of these new. Also, think about getting two smaller heaters. That way if one goes bonkers it takes a lot longer to affect your tank (either stuck "on" or stuck "off"). This point is invalid if you have a controller for it. Then the controller will make sure it turns on at the right temperature. dsoz Quote
