Algae Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Anyone on Eugene adept at dowel, bisquit, or mortise joinery for a bit of help? I need to put together one rail and stile tank stand door. Everytime in the past I've tried bisquit or dowel, I've pretty well....sucked. Quote
C0lin Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 What are you having problems with? Do you have a biscuiter? You might be able to rent one. Quote
Algae Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 Good old alignment! I have a pocket hole jig (not Kreg). I was just hoping someone involved in the forum could do 4 hole pockets or biscuits for me? What are you having problems with? Do you have a biscuiter? You might be able to rent one. Quote
wanareef Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Too bad you weren't closer, I can do biscuts have both portable and stationary and stile/rail router bits. Quote
impur Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I have a krieg jig but not the bit Franklin if you need to borrow it. Quote
Algae Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 Are the Kreg bits specialized and you cannot use normal long shanked bits. The Kreg bits I saw were 35-40 apiece? Can you use it for a rail to stile joint? I have a krieg jig but not the bit Franklin if you need to borrow it. Quote
Algae Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 Thanks for the offer!! HOW far away are you? Too bad you weren't closer' date=' I can do biscuts have both portable and stationary and stile/rail router bits.[/quote'] Quote

I think you could use any bit as long as its the right size and at least 4.5" long from the chuck of the drill. Quote
Algae Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 Thanks alot for the generous offer! I would even consider going as far as Salem, but I have a business and have to remain somewhat close to town. Any other offers? I'm in Portland' date=' Jantzen Beach[/quote'] Quote
wanareef Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Next time I know the kids are coming up for a visit and you still have not taken care of your door, I'll just have them stop by and pickup what you got to fix. Quote
