Anyone on Eugene adept at dowel, bisquit, or mortise joinery for a bit of help? I need to put together one rail and stile tank stand door. Everytime in the past I've tried bisquit or dowel, I've pretty well....sucked.

Good old alignment! I have a pocket hole jig (not Kreg). I was just hoping someone involved in the forum could do 4 hole pockets or biscuits for me?

What are you having problems with? Do you have a biscuiter? You might be able to rent one.

Are the Kreg bits specialized and you cannot use normal long shanked bits. The Kreg bits I saw were 35-40 apiece? Can you use it for a rail to stile joint?

I have a krieg jig but not the bit Franklin if you need to borrow it.

Whoa whoa whoa. I only said had a krieg jig. I didn't say i knew how to use it!!

I tried using a typical bit i had on hand but you really need a longer one. I think you could use any bit as long as its the right size and at least 4.5" long from the chuck of the drill.

Thanks alot for the generous offer! I would even consider going as far as Salem, but I have a business and have to remain somewhat close to town. Any other offers?
