jason7504
i have a K1 and tunze 6045 along with the return pump in my solana..and the sand in the bottom right hand corner is moving around and moving it to the sides so it makes a hole..i have both of the pumps facing across from each other and aimed up and towards the center..what should i try? CA2OR
different angles....cut flow a little. That would be my guess.
Michael7979
Different angles until you fix it.
jason7504
yeah but then i dont want to cut the flow too much.. and i heard that having the powerheads at the top across from each other and pointing up and and towards the center will give the best flow.. CA2OR
just provide a little resistance maybe
Lowman
You could mix a little bigger grained sand with your existing sand, just in the spot that is making the hole.
jason7504
hmm...im using the carribean direct sand so its not the smallest grain..could i angle them upwards more?
andy
I have had good luck with putting my Korallias a bit lower on the wall and angling them upwards. Unfortunately, flow is an art not a science.
jason7504
its when i turn on the tunze 6045, that the sand gets disturbed..
Michael7979
It is the flow of the two hitting each other. Don't point them directly at each other. You will just have to be patient and play around with the angles.
