Is cylce starting or ending?

yeah I know. I was just told that the cycle goes amonia to nitrite, nitrite to nitrate. I now have traces of both nitrite and nitrate in my water and the amonia levels are dropping. I may be speaking to soon though. I will test again tomorrow and see what's what.

Eric, I know you stated you were going to start moving things into your new tank this week...but in MY opinion I think you should go slower than that (it has only been running less than a week, right?). Let it fully cycle and stabilize a bit. Just my .02c :)

Also, I would highly recommend you take your water to a reputable LFS to have them double check your test results..it certainly wouldn't hurt :) I certianly take my water into waves at LEAST 1x per month just to get a 'sanity check'. YMMV

I do plan on taking water to Waves probably wed morn. The only reason the move was brought up for this week was because the sand wasn't brand new and Rose City has left me with the impression that it shouldn't, key word shouldn't, take much more than a few days for it to cycle and be ready. I am keeping fingers crossed, but my realistic mind is telling me it may be a while yet. Thanks for the input and advice. Although I am in a rush to do this I am not in a rush to watch all I have die. So I wait and hope.
