andy
There is an interesting post at the afex2win.com blog where the poster (Keith, the owner of the site) suggests it may be possible to know when a new tank has finished cycling by monitoring redox. I don't measure redox and I don't have a new tank but those of you with geeky instincts and deep pockets might be interested in investigating further. Check it out at: http://www.afex2win.com/2008/12/12/tracking-your-cycle-via-redox-measurement/ Even if you aren't exceptionally reef-nerdy, it's still a pretty cool site. dsoz
Probably really true. But a person starting out usually does not get an ORP probe. Just one more expensive toy, when measuring NH4 and NO2 is a cheap test that almost all beginners can get. dsoz
andy
I just thought it was interesting, wasn't trying to talk anyone into something.
