R-3
They are supposedly Korean made? A fish store was gonna open in the area but had to switch storefronts so the tanks wont work. thats the story I get. The 448 is suppose to be made out of 1" glass!! OUCH that is heavy

spectra
Shoot have not even set up my new tank yet and am now thinking one of those 180s would look sweet in my house. Only problem is if I brought it home the wife would shoot me(laugh) Great deal on a tank though and yes the rim does look a little funny(scratch)
jayR
As long as she doesn't shoot the tank, it's all good!! J/K

jayR
I was just thinking that my current inwall tank is 6' X 2' X 30" deep and the 448 gallon will fit perfectly in the wall. Just need to modify the stand to be 30" deeper. (naughty) How heavy do you guys think this tank will be? (scary)
R-3
Way too heavy is what I say. I have no idea but 1" thick doesn't sound fun. Don't call me to move it
jayR
[language filter] it! I was just about to send you a PM
jayR
Anyone know if 5/8 thickness for the 448 gallon (6X5X2) is sufficient? I e-mailed the person selling and they said it was 5/8 is and was worried that it may be too thin. Any thoughts?
R-3
Ahh I dont know. They told me it was 1" hmmm....Let me check my email again. Later Ryan
R-3
Heres what I got from Tiffany The tanks shipped from Hong Kong, they are custom for my store, however, there are so problem I have to relocate the store, the big tanks are no use. I believe the 180 gal are 5/8", and 448 gal are 1". They are very high quality glass tanks. Thats what they sent me when I inquired. spectra
All the 180s are gone and the only thing they have left is 2 big tanks I think. I emailed them yesterday as was thinking of sitting on a 180 for the price they wanted.
jayR
Tiffany also e-mailed me and she told me that the 448 is 5/8" (scratch) I'll give her a call when I get her contact number.
