clam foot paritally left behind

I have a smaller (appx 2") crocea clam and he has been doing great - mantle extension looks good no gapping etc. I know my water parameters are all in line as I had Waves double check everthing last weekend and it was all inline (my Mg was a bit low but I have since corrected this). Today I noticed my clam had moved and was open looking great...but it looks like he left a bit of his foot behind on the rock. I did turn him over and he does have what looks like a foot. So what is the deal? is this normal? Should I be worried?

Thanks!
