Jeff.Tichenor
I am always intrigued by the tools fellow hobbyists have utilized as an effective tool for aquarium maintenance or other purposes. I know everyone on here has such a tool (or several) that was not meant to reef keeping but gets lots of use in the hobby. What is a standout tool you get a lot of use out of or would immediately replace if lost or broken?? What do you use it for?? Pics are very helpful but not required. Rugops
I use a Gatorade bottle to hold my filter media. Made 4 holes around the bottom and stuff whatever I need to use into it. Edit: the small bottles Edited May 25 by Rugops

I loved its large flat lid.

Bevo5
Long plastic pole with a plastic spoon banded to the end is a great snail flipper.
SuncrestReef
I cut the bottom out of a small Tupperware container to use as a feeder ring to keep the fish food from getting sucked down the overflow:

My current snail flipper is just a long bamboo skewer.

Brilliant! 1
Jeff.Tichenor
It's nothing fancy but I haven't found anything else that works better than this scrub brush for cleaning skimmer cups. The foam on the end is key!
