impur
Yah, this is a quick and easy mod. Especially if you have some extra stuff laying around from doing MJmods. I put a dumas 3004 prop in my K4 and it won't quite run it. After trimming the prop down it sure puts out the flow!
mister crabs
where do you get these props from? and what else do you need? some kind of shaft or something? i read airline tubing and im assuming it keeps the prob from going back up the shaft? gotta couple K-1's i might do this to. impur
Hit up your local hobby store. I get the props at Eugene Toy & Hobby. Or you can get them online from any store that sells RC boats. They are just RC boat props. All you do is make the normal MJmod prop. I like to remove the plastic from the stock MJ impeller, and shove a piece of hard airline tubing into the magnet. Then the prop glues onto the airline tubing. Like this This impeller fits right into the Koralias where the stock prop goes. You don't have to mod anything on the Koralias. siskiou
LMK how it goes! I'd like to speed up the K2 a bit, if possible!
impur
The good thing with these is you don't have to worry about getting the shroud perfectly straight. It already is!
vanz
any update on these? i have a k4 lying around and would love to try this out on my new
impur
Works great, just drop the MJ magnet with impeller attached into your K4. Easiest mod around
vanz
I've read some other builds on this, and some of them have the prop reversed since that's how the koralia is originally. They also use the original koralia rod. Have you tried reversing the prop miles?
impur
Nah i just dropped the impeller for my sureflow mod into it and it worked fine. I need the sureflow mod as well as both k4s in my tank so i didn't run it for more than a few minutes to see how it worked.
