shaywood
When my system is idle and not refilling a tank, the RODI system has started making a hissing noise frequently (every minute or so). The RODI pressure valve starts at 40psi when idle and slowly builds up to 50ish. Then there is a pressure release (I think from the auto-flush valve) and the psi drops back to 40ish - only to repeat. Is this normal? Before adding the auto-flush valve it would hold steady when idle. Edited April 13, 2021 by shaywood
obrien.david.j
My system doesn't do this, BUT... I don't leave my RO unit pressurized when idle. I have a Mur-lok RO Lineline ball valve on the incoming supply - and always turn it off manually when idle. (from BRS)
shaywood
I use the first 5 stages for drinking water, so I can't shut off.

shaywood
Turns out the problem was my RODI drinking water tank needed some psi. I haven't re-installed the auto flush valve, if anyone is interested in buying it.
