Saltfishlover
Can anyone with electronic knowledge help me find a replacement led driver? Not sure how this works with all the variety out there. This is what I have that needs replaced.
xxkenny90xx
Any chance you can just contact the manufacturer? That's how I've always sourced new drivers

Spschampion
Maybe try doing a google search with the specs of the driver??? if that doesn’t work maybe a electronics store like Fry’s could help?
Saltfishlover
I've Google's the crap out of it. Nothing, but I get close. I'll check out an electronics store , that's a good thought. Thanks.
xmas_one
There’s likely a meanwell that you could use. What fixture is this from and what do the inputs/outputs look like? @danlu_gt Edited January 30, 2021 by xmas_one
goldenbasketreef
Need to open the case and look inside the type of driver it has. Then you can search on ebay or online for a replacement part

xmas_one
You’re not gonna want to hear this, but fixing that light is not going to be worth the time/money. Maybe if you find another broken one and swap out the bad driver. Are both channels out, or just the one?
Saltfishlover
Just the one and when I swapped wires to be sure it was not leds they all lit up, just on with this driver

If it’s just for a frag tank, whatever, right?
Saltfishlover
Very true. I thought of that. Would it be unwise to just wire the white LEDs to the one good driver?

I think that's a compatible driver zooming in on your other pics of drivers...
Saltfishlover
Yup, thank you. I've ordered it and will see when it gets here

I've ordered it and will see when it gets here Just saw this post... From your pic, your AC power adapter is constant current so it varies it's output voltage to provide constant 1.27A. The link from Amazon is a constant voltage power adapter, so it have a constant DC output voltage of 48V but various the current up to 1.25A. So unless your LED just happened to need 48V at 1.27A, it will not work. Either find/buy a constant current power adaptor with the specs required, or you can MacGyver it with the 48V constant voltage power adaptor from Amazon then add/design a DC to DV constant current converter. Please be careful taking apart AC power adapters. Even DC at 48V can be dangerous. I agree with previous comment that it's probably not worth fixing.
Saltfishlover
Nope not going to dicker with it. If I can't connect and solder it back, I will just use the blues. Thanks for the info tho. Glad to get that before I burned them up
