Frogger
Just wondering if anyone has any experience/knowledge of this ebay company? They sell a 5 stage with a booster pump for ~$160 shipped. Also, my water pressure is 52lbs. Do you think I would benefit from the booster pump or would it be a waste of money? Thanks
civicsit
booster pump would be a waste of money, at least with the systems that I know of. I got mine off of ebay, I think from dvoneb, and it only requires 40 psi feed.
Nyles
I use the 6-stage "aquasafesystems" ro/di system for about 2 years now, works great. Hope that helps.
Frogger
Nyles, what kind of pressure are you running? Also, anyone know where to get a 55 gallon drum (food grade) for really cheap? Thanks
Nyles
I believe the PSI is around 60 here, the unit put out EXACTLY the amount claimed (100 GPD) I could set a clock to it.
impur
Filterdirect on mine with roughly 80psi and no probs for 2+ years. Still haven't had to change the filters. Pick up a Brute trashcan at HD. Look on the bottom, it will tell you if its food grade. I got a 33 gal one there.
Nyles
Usually at some farms they will sell large barrels for $5 each that are food grade, someone posted it a year ago or so.... I can't remember where or who.
spectra
There is a place in Portland that sells food grade barrels for 10 bucks each. But like Impur I have a 33 gallon trash can. It seems to work well and after I am done will have a place to put trash(nutty)

reefboy
I know this is a tad off subject but this is what i use no waste water and keeps minerals in and i get great growth outa all my stuff. You change filters more often but the results are worth it http://www.poly-bio-marine.com/story.htm just another option but it is more expensive to start at 300.00 but filters are cheaper to replace then R.O I dont sell these but i do have a friend that does so if interested pm me.
