defigart
I have a Pinpoint pH meter. Does anyone in this group know how to calibrate them correctly? Also is there anywhere local where you can buy the solution to calibrate them?
Chief
Last time I was in Portland, most of the stores carried it. I know that Waves, Saltwater Fanta-seas, and Upscales had them the last time I was there. Jay
Chief
Funny thing is, the last time I ask a store in Eugene for PH calibration fluid, the clerk handed me a test kit. (laugh) Jay
impur
Yah i've gotten that as well before Jay. What a joke. There isn't a place in Eugene to get the solution. I order about 10 of each the 7.0 and 10.0 when i order things online.

JManrow
I used to buy chemicals, calibration solutions, and other supplies at Nurnberg Scientific Supply in Portland. You might give them a call. http://www.nurnberg.com/ http://www.nurnberg.com/index.php?page=display&series=29 http://www.chemicalregister.com/Nurnberg_Scientific/Supplier/sid17402.htm
Rugbyfish
Q about the basics on Ph meters In your opinion, what is the best value PH meter out there? How often do you have to re-calibrate your PH meter? Thanks, Rug
Jay
If you still need help calibrating your meter just private message me and I will reply with my phone number you can call me and I will walk you through it. Patrick at Fantaseas had the solution last time I needed it. Calibrate it every couple months but clean the tip with a soft bristle clean toothbrush once a month to remove the slime that accumulates. Here is a link to the instructions to calibrate it. http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro/electronics_pinpoint_ph_instruct.htm Jay
