stephanie
I recieved a clam from divers den today and it appears the foot is torn. When I first put it in my tank I put it in the sand and my hermit crabs were all over the shell. Then I noticed one picking at the mantle, so I took the clam and suspended in tuper ware in the tank so the crabs can not get at it. Is there anything I should do different? Thanks in advance. Bevo5
I don't have an answer but you should for sure contact divers den and let them know asap. just to be on the safe side.
Lexinverts
I have not had good success getting clams from Diver's Den. They have a great "stay alive" guarantee, however.

Exodus
Yeah you want to get a return on that one. Clam's feet being damaged when being pulled from the Ocean I have read is the number one reason for fatality. Clams are sensitive enough and take effort to keep alive in the home aquarium the last thing you need is to start off on a bad foot
