Jack-the-reefer
I have a Monti Setosa and a Garf Bonsai on the same rock. They are going to be touching in the next few months. Who is going to win this fight? Should I just move one of them now before they can get to each other?
reefnjunkie
IME the SPS witht the fewest polyps looses, that being said I find more times than not the area of "battle" becomes a dead zone and neither coral continues to impede. I'd wait it out and see-
Emerald525
My money is on the setosa! Love the new signature Brad!
Jack-the-reefer
Thanks! I'll let it go. I'm still fairly new to sps, so I'm hoping my placement of everything isn't going to screw me in the long run.
Mandinga
You could always glue a piece pf rock...rubble rock between the two. Sort of delaying the inevitable, but it'll buy you a little time. I think I have the Rocky Balboa of Setosa's in my tank...it's killed or maimed at least 3 other corals. Currently it's tied in a bout with blue clove polyps. It's an epic battle for the ages. Edited April 2, 2015 by Mandinga
jadams7
My bet is the bonsai winning. Mine is easily taking over the base of my purple rim monti.
