Derbird
Ok I had to do an emergency 50 gallon water change (scary). I had some water issues and had lost some of my most amazing corals (sad) My wellso and fungia's are in the great reef in the sky now. Any way as I put the 50 gallons back in the DT the sand dune in the rear of the tank got blown away and left what look like sand stalagmites sticking out of the sand. I have no idea what they are Any idea what these might be? Sorry for the horrible picture DOH!
Toby Flenderson
almost looks like feather duster tubes, hard to say with that picture though.
Islandoftiki
They're just little worms that make a tube out of sand particles. I can't remember what they're called now. I don't really have many in my current tanks, but had quite a few in my first pico. Kinda wish I had more now. They're great CUC.
MrBret
I'm going to say they are spioned worm, the little tubes are glued together by the spaghetti like tenticle inside. The nano tank on my desk has tons of them. I get a close up view all day as they build their tubes and collect specs of crap, lol.http://www.google.com/imgres?q=spionid+worm&hl=en&sa=X&biw=1366&bih=557&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnsfd&tbnid=MV5MC8-PnUAumM:&imgrefurl=http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t296246.html&docid=-TwHiLGjr6ThsM&imgurl=http://www.4everb.net/image/reef/spionid_worm.jpg&w=333&h=222&ei=4jgSUM3uJOaQiQLU_ICgAw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1029&vpy=137&dur=3931&hovh=177&hovw=266&tx=98&ty=200&sig=102679050984716719348&page=1&tbnh=115&tbnw=154&start=0&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:23,s:0,i:
