alittlemark
I got a plate coral last Tuesday and it looked like it was doing well for the first week or so, but now i'm not sure. It is a light green coral that is maybe 2.5" across with long tentacles. For the last few days most of the tentacles have been under a layer of what looks like translucent slime, or a membrane of some kind. I don't have a picture at the moment, but I may be able to provide one if it would help. I originally thought that the behavior was normal, but it has recently occurred to me that it may be an infection, or some other bad situation. Thoughts? alittlemark
Should I try to clear the membrane from the coral?
stylaster
How much current is it getting? I would try and remove the film, move it to lower light and make sure it gets good current
alittlemark
hm, I thought that it was getting fairly good current, but maybe I can improve on that. I will clean it off some and move it.
