Gill
Actually it could be a conch??? Either way don't touch it!!!! LOL
Cirenus
That would be nassarius snail or commonly known as the zombie snail, it has a snout that they use to look for food with, they generally will bury themselves in the sand, and sometimes will scale the glass looking for food. Great sand bed cleaners, and harmless.
ShaunMonahan
Cone snail. Don't touch it!!!!! Definitely not a cone snail That would be nassarius snail or commonly known as the zombie snail' date=' it has a snout that they use to look for food with, they generally will bury themselves in the sand, and sometimes will scale the glass looking for food. cellowithgills
Definitely not a nassarius. Wrong shaped shell, and never goes under the sand.
Mohaynow
My first reaction was nassarius. But if its definately not one then my second reaction would be a conch. I've seen mine scale the sides of my tank befor, it takes them a long time, but never underestimate the determination of a bored/hungry invert. ShaunMonahan
I don't see how the shape defines the species in this case? Could also be a cerith - my point I was trying to make was it's not a cone snail.
Cirenus
Could be a conch..but from the picture I can only see a little bit of the detail on the shell and it has a snout...Conchs have two antenna's generally from the ones I have seen.

ThePremiumAquarium
It's likely a strumbus snail. These guys are carnivorous but some species are reef sage. A similar species would be a bumblebee snail. I get these often as hitchhikers.
