ReefSafari
I was curious if anyone had experience with Blue Ridge Coral, how easy is it to keep and how fast does it grow, its one ive never tried before, and you dont see it around much, doesnt seem that popular, curious why... CuttleFishandCoral
In my experience they seem to grow slow. The tissue will grow quickly but the skeleton will take a while. They are pretty easy to keep. I would compare the difficulty to Torch or another easier LPS. Nothing exotic color wise, kinda of a light brown. Probably why it isnt more popular. It always seemed werid that the base of the coral is so pretty but the exterior isnt.
Gill
I totally agree that the color is probably why people don't commonly keep it. I have a piece in my tank so it is deffiniytly hardy LOL. My favorite thing about this coral is its immunity to the sting of my RBTA.
Kris
I also have it and it is a very slow grower. And not the best looking piece but cool since very few people have it.
