J-Dog
I have a nice frag of blue tip tenuis that I can't get to color up. It gets very good polyp extension and has always looked healthy, but the tips just won't color up. I've moved it high, middle, and low in my tank but nothing works. Does anyone know the secret to getting these suckers to respond? (scratch)
reef165
What are all your water peramiters? exp cal, mag and alk, usually once they settle in and start growing they start coloring up, so maybe it is a lack of something. Do you ever feed your corals?

J-Dog
My parameters are all good....alk 9-10, cal 400-450, mag 1400. I have this guy in high light/flow, now it's in medium light/flow. Maybe I just have to wait and see
coralreefer
How old are your lights? Maybe try some amino acids...
J-Dog
My lights are new and no other corals seem to have a problem. Maybe the tenuis is not a coral that I can keep in my tank
coralreefer
I bet you can keep it...med to hi light and feed...leave it alone...everytime you move it you are making coral start over again... DrMerle
impur
You know its funny, you'll get it moved, maybe a few times, then eventually just say grrr and leave it and thats when it'll take off, grow like a weed and you'll be posting about giving away frags. Thats kinda how this SPS went for me

Mandinga
If your other SPS are doing well, it may just be one of those tough to please corals. I've got a few of those($500 efflo, franks teal acro, and others) that just wont grow...or color up...or die. Ive had the $500 efflo for over a year and the thing hasnt grown a millimeter...and I have tried it in a number of different spots.
