Making Foam Rock Question

Am I understanding it right that whatever I use to make the model of the rock (i.e. wire hangar, or small sticks from the yard in my case) will become inert after the pond foam cures?

 

I want to make branch type rock for seahorses and am hoping to "map it out" first.

Just out of the slight possibility that you dont cover every surface completely, or that water eventually makes its way in, I would just start with something that is inert to begin with.

 

Try buying some acrylic rods and using a small torch to bend them into the shapes you want.
