coralreefer
I've also got a queen maroon clown. I love her. She been in captivity for 6 years now. I felt terrible taking her anemone away. My maroon has been through it all...I raised her from a pup...she has lived through the FOWLR stage, marine and now SPS dominant reef. My kids are growing up quick, I've taken up learning the guitar (at 51) and am becoming a little burned out on the reef. I'm not ready to give it up, still enjoy it. It is always something though. Highs and lows. Anyway, I think part of me keeps the tank going cause I don't want to part with her. She has earned not being given away to someone and I honestly think when she dies I will shed a tear, and move on. My passion seems to be learning a hobby til my brain knows 99% of it and then moving on to something new. DrMerle

reefnjunkie
Dang Merle that Clown is a monster-mine was a real jerk with an attitude and I was glad to get rid of it. The first few years I always traded off my fish becuase I get bored of the same ol thing-I dont think I have ever owned a fish for more than 1 year, granted now that I have a few fish you dont see come around that often they are not going anywhere. When I moved into the temp tank I am in know I got rid of all the 'old fish" and got new ones-except the flame hawk, I have had that fish for about 2 years-its the wifes and cant get rid of it-even though I tell her it has an expensive taste for food. I have qute a few empty shells on the sand bed (laugh) My next 2 aditions will be more wrasses, a Labouti and maybe a Hooded Fairy-I'd keep them until the end of it all
Bigjohnwoody
I have a green chromis that has been with me since my tank cycled. Well it's one of 7 I have now. It was my single fish for awhile and then it was a pair of clowns. Been with me 7 months FTW. I bought 6 more hoping 5 would survive. Well all have made it for over three months now. I have heard chromis can be difficult to keep alive. Although I bought these from Garrett along with every other fish in my tank except my clowns. Every fish is still alive. I think Garrett sells immortal fish!
