CoralCrazy
So now I know how everyone feels that ever had a tank crash.(sad) I am now starting over minus a couple fish and hopefully my carpet nem. Had the seachem rep show up in the store the other day and I have now pretty much bought the whole line of aquavitro. So after talking to him I am hoping I can rebuild my reef with their products helping me. Hopefully by the end of the year I will have a nice looking tank again. The only good thing about this happening is that now I can readjust my set up. Might actually turn out nicer in the end. Of course minus the investment I have lost. For those of you that have corals in your tank that are mine (I know it's not much) I just beg that you can keep them for me for a little longer so I can get my tank dialed in again. I'm just glad I have a community of people that I can turn to for answers.
impur
Dang sorry to hear. Hope your new tank is even better!! Do you know what caused the crash?
CoralCrazy
I dont have a clue but it gives me a good reason to buy the 180 I've been thinking about. Think I'm going to seperate my tanks up though. We have everything plumbed into the same sump so I'm going to run a second sump for just the reef so I can have hopefully more control. Emerald525
Wow Heather sorry to hear that! That's a heartbreaker! When you are up and running I do have some growout frags for you! You have been so generous to this forum. I will also donate some frags to you! The silver lining is that you can redo your setup. We were sad when we lost almost all the fish in our fowlr but then we were able to set up the sps tank!
stylaster
Ya that really sucks guys! Ill be happy to hold those corals for you for as long as it takes. After my SPS crash, i went back to simple reef keeping. Just doing water changes and running my calcium reactor. I have not been adding anything else and so far everything seems really happy. I would start out basic with water changes keeping things going and once it matures then move on to adding other chemicals if need be KISS method
CoralCrazy
I did a 50 gallon water change today and just adding the simple reef building stuff from their line right now. The good thing is the most important fish are alive and the nice tube anemone that I got from you Kim is happy. Thank you all for holding corals for me and offering to help restock. I really appreciate it.

epicenter
I agree with the KISS method. My reef recieves no additives other than the basic ca, mg & water changes. Good luck with the new build & remember keep it simple.
CoralCrazy
So I have decided to start making my tank pretty again. Went and got some great new rock today (thanks Chris). And I even picked up a few frags. Haven't got the bigger tank yet but I really miss all the color. So it's time to start. Every thing has been stable for the last few months so the bug has bit to make me rebuild. I will get pics up soon.
