Mitchell
I started off with quite a few fish in my 55 gallon reef tank, but now I am down to just a pair of clownfish and a tiny flame hawkfish and the tank is looking pretty empty. What fish do you guys recommend I get? I was thinking about getting a small blue jaw triggerfish, but I'm worried it would mess with my coral/inverts and grow too big for the tank. Mitchell
Small niger trigger' date=' sixline, and star fish here for 35 bucks! [/quote'] I would be nervous about putting a niger in my reef. I heard they can turn really mean as adults. That's a great deal though. Would a blue jaw create too much waste in my 55 gallon sps reef? ReefSafari
I would love to have a harem of Royal Grammas, but that seems impossible.....You like shoaling or schooling fish like a group of Green Chromis? Depending on your setup, Yellow headed Jawfish always seemed fun and interesting to try....but they seem to like deep sand beds though... I often found by going to the local shops and just looking and seeing what catches your eye, how they swim, interact with the landscaping, with other fish, some fish just swim around, while others like wrasses seem to explore thier surroundings and cruise around the aquascaping. With a 55g (minus all the aquascaping) your going to have to take into account final adult size of some of these larger fish like triggers and such, but you probably know that.... Bicyclebill
I'm a huge fan of Tangs, but recently purchased several Anthias. Anthias are very mellow and add a lot of color and action to your tank. Can't forget my two favorite though, my midas and bicolor blenny's for personality.
Gill
I think the blue jaw would be too much bio load in the long run. Just my 2 cents.
