Nancymacc
I got this clove colony a week ago. I did not notice this when I put it there almost a week ago (but it may have been there). At first I thought it was a shroom, but I see more of it in an odd shape lower on the rock. It is a very deep red, and thin, coating the corner of the rock. Kind of slimy but looks solid and uniform. Any ID help would be appreciated.
stylaster
its a type of coralline algae, ive had it in my tanks. It shouldnt rub off with your fingers. Kinda has a rubbery texture to it. Snails seem to like to eat it
