switching food

So I've been doing some reading about coral/fish growth and health and its made me question exactly what I have normally be feeding my fish, what seemed good at the time seems questionable now, just cause it says "tropical fish food" doesn't mean its good for everyone in the tank, so I've decided to switch and go quality over quantity with something I know will keep everyone happy and healthy spending a few extra bucks is worth it in the long run, cause after all they are all living things and deserve to eat good food as well. So my question is..what would you recommend? Price is not an issue, I was looking into getting rods food but before I make an impulse buy I wanted to get some second and third opinions, so let's hear it.

I feed mine a varied diet. I alternate with PE Mysis Shrimp, Rods, My own home made blend & Hikari Brine Shrimp. I also will often add a tiny bit of oyster feast or Artic-Pods.I feed every other day & on off days give them nori.

Making your own can save you some money but it is messy and stinky. My recommendation is that if you are going to make your own go to goodwill and buy a used blender. Momma will kill you if you use hers..... Also if you are going to make your own make sure that it is NOT cook or preserved with anything. I use a variety of foods including Rod's food. Rod's is a little spendy but very good food. I feed PE Mysis, Rods, Spirilena brine, Formula one flake and pellet, and cyclopeeze.
