mattv
Any of you used Chemiclean? From what I have heard it works but thought I would ask around before I use it. The last thing I want to do is put my system in the dark for days or do anything to harm my corals. Thanks for any and all input!
Michael7979
I used it once. It kinda did what it said it would. It really helped but it was definately not a cure. But it can help get you ahead. Just read/follow the directions.
impur
I've used it a few times. Got rid of all the cyano both times, but its really only a temporary fix. You must find the cause or the cyano will come back. Make sure to follow the instructions to a T!
gawf4fun
I too have used it several times despite hearing a few negative stories. Agree that you must follow dosing instructions and particularly running the air stone for oxegen exchange. good luck
sharoleb
I've used it before. I had replaced my PC bulbs w/ a new T5 fixture, bought two new Koralias and reduced my feedings. I was STILL getting cyano. After I used the chemiclean it went away and never came back. Make sure you've got salt water mixed.
Harold B
For me i'd fixed my underlying nutrient problem but couldn't get rid of the cyno after CC it was gone and haven't been back. It did affect my skimmer for about 2 weeks though.
ThePremiumAquarium
It is magic dust! I sell a ton of the stuff and for good reason. It really does what it claims to do. Definately follow the directions and remember to shut that skimmer down. As others have stated, it isn't a long term cure but it definately gets rid of cyano. To be honest the last time I used it, it wiped the cyano out and it hasn't been back since.
mattv
Wow... Thanks everyone! I think it was from changing salt brands and I was over feeding. I have had it in the past with a nano and had to cover it for a few days. Sounds like a great product and I have used Boyds products for 15+ years so I had high hopes for this one. Thanks again and my corals thank you!
impur
Let us know how it goes!
mattv
I will, thanks for not harpping on me for over feeding and changing salts!
Algae
I will' date=' thanks for not harpping on me for over feeding and changing salts![/quote'] They only harp at RC. We are nicer! +1 for Chemiclean. You really can't skimp on your water change after using it, otherwise it will be Foam City in your skimmer for way too long. mattv
Well I can now say this stuff works! I even went light on the dose knowing I could redose in 48 hrs. All of my corals are looking great so I am very happy! This has been proven to be an outstanding product!

Michael7979
You will still need to find out what caused it to start with. But really glad it worked for you!
Electrokate
If you have sand it may survive in the sand and then if you have an underlying surplus of nutrients driving the problem it will emerge from the sand after the water change
