WTB Black Acrylic

I'm looking into making my own over flow and wanted to see what it costs for some black acrylic. If you have some laying around let me know.

 

Otherwise I will just pickup an over flow from Rosecity.

Pick one up at rose city, trust me unless YOU have some extra acrylic laying around, you wont be saving yourself any money or time. I built two for my last tank, its cool if thats really what you want to do (for a project ) but much eaiser and cheaper to just buy one.

The one he had at the shop the other day was a little too short. I guess I could raise it up a little bit and just use it that way.

ya I guess if you can grab scrap and cut it yourself. Otherwise they will charge you to cut it.

I have bought plastic many times from Tap's and they never charged me to cut it. They didn't even charge me when I had a 25 cent scrap piece cut.

I was hoping of more on the lines of buying something from someone on the boards but I will give Tap a call. I've known about them for a long time.

tap does not charge to cut.

Ya, Tap scrap bin ( $1.50 a lb) will be your best bet otherwise your looking at about $10 a SF for 1/4 inch black if ya go to Multicraft or the like.

Jesse, If clear will work let me know. I have some scraps of 1/4" clear here. I might have one or two black ones too but not enough to make an overflow box.

Ive got some clear that I could use but would prefer black to cover everything up. Thanks for the offer. My plan is to have the sump setup tomorrow as well as the tank being drilled and the overflow made so all I have to do is fill it on thursday.
