CA2OR
Well, I am finally doing it. I am rooting my D2. I still am a bit uninformed with all of this so any experienced individuals that care to chime in feel free.

CA2OR
dude....it was so simple that I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Seriously. Want some direction? All you really are doing is opening up your phone to do what you want and opening up your ability to get things before the non rooted's do. FREEDOM!!!!! NoobtoSalt
All the Droid programs still work with it though right?
CA2OR
Yes....there is no noticeable change upon rooting. All apps stay just like they were.
NoobtoSalt
I'm going to research this out right now.
CA2OR
The only difference I have found is WHEN there is an update for the OS by Verizon you wont get notified....at least that is what I am told....but you can get custom ROM's or simply unroot, update, and root again. I can send you info on how to perform very simple root in minutes without a PC
