a blue actinic VHO bulb (any length) or a T5 HO super actinic bulb (48") to figure out which one would be the right thing to pop my colors better before I invest in buying?

imo vho's are the best for that i used vho's for years now im using t-5 just because it saves me money but it doesnt give the pop that vho do the only time i would recommend t-5 would be if you use a ice cap and with a reflector otherwize vhos all the way

I have a T5 fixture and am happy with the light output, but miss the "actinic pop" I used to get with the pc lighting.

 

And I've seen what VHO actinics can do!

 

But people have told me that the T5 HO super actinics are not bad either, so I wanted to compare before decicing on one or the other.

 

I have a ballast and end caps for VHO.

It's just that finances are always tight and I don't want to have something lying around I end up never using.

Does anyone sell these bulbs locally?

I don't think Sean does, and Liquidsunshine has the T5 Giesemann bulbs, but not the UV super actinics.

And no VHOs.

It's an 8-bulb Tek fixture.

 

BTW, does anyone else have problems posting in the MJ mods thread? I've tried several times over the last few hours, but it locks up on me every time.
