Piero Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 So I've been carefully propping some of the nice discosoma sp. I harvested from my display tank before unplugging it, and I noticed something was tasting them overnight! Lost one strain completely because i only had one shroom. So I started looking with the maglight after dark by surprise. Well, my suspisions were towards a worm of some type, but one night I caught one of my spiny urchins with his mouth around one of my shrooms and it was reduced to a small stump! looked in da books and it said they can at times decide to much on corals...anyone else experiece anything like this? just a possible heads-up. They are in a prop system so normal food sources might be low...maybe encouraging them to diversify menu. Quote

H20cooled Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 My Long spine black urchins would chew on the tips of my SPS and ate the entire stock of Xenia. Needs to say it is not in my tank anymore. Quote
