grassi
I got some today and tested on both acrylic and glass. They work pretty well and they are cheap. http://reefbuilders.com/2010/08/11/dobie-pads-are-the-ultimate-aquarium-cleaning-and-maintenance-tool/

Zoolander
I have an acrylic I've been holding off on because I never liked cleaning it. Looks like I'm setting up an acrylic tank again.

oxx155
Been using Dobie Pads for as long as I can remember (at least a couple of years). I put them on my magnet cleaner and it cleans everything real well. Even gets some of my coraline. Fred Meyer sells them.
sharoleb
Thanks for this thread! I am going to get some today. So - I can get a magna float for my acrylic tank and put magnet inside the dobie cover? I haven't gotten a magna float for the acrylic yet because I've heard of sand getting in there and scratching the tank up. Does the dobie pad help w/ this? Any other recommendations for a magnet type cleaner besides the magna float? Thanks!
grassi
The magnet float could catch sand in the same way with the pad. Better use the old school plastic scraper for the bottom part of the tank
