mc82
new to saltwater - picked up this established tank last week and noticed a few things I'm wondering if could be identified for me.... sorry pics are a bit blurry, did't break out my slr for them. 1st pic - long striped legs/tenticles coming from a whole in the rock?? 2nd pic - is this aiptasia? 2 in the pic - bigger in the middle and smaller one underneath it. Thanks! Matt
Lowman
1st pic: Serpent star, they are okay to have in your tank 2nd pic: aptasia, those are nusiance anemones that are very prolific. There are some fish and inverts that eat them, or chemical removal can be effective also

Of course I couldn't walk out of the store without a few corals too.... And my wife thought my rc helicopter hobby was bad..... !
