moovinfast
Found this little guy on the sand bed buried in a forest of feather dusters and found another small one under a frag of AOGs.
AquaticEngineer
Call me crazy but it kind of looks like a strawberry anemone (scratch)

ReeFit
i vote anemone as well. I guess one way to tell would be to see if it reacts quickly to disturbance or does it take some time to close up. i would say if its a mushroom it probably wouldn't close nearly as fast as an anemone of some sort. Lowman
Without seeing the face of it, it is hard to tell, but it looks like a ricordia to me
dsoz
+1 strawberry anemone. Corynactis or Pseudocorynactus is the probably genus. I got a bunch of these from some live sand that I got from J&Jr (former member) when I first started my tank. dsoz
JasonH
I thought those (strawberry anem) were cold water? If it is a ric and keeps that color pattern (pink with whitish tentacles), you're going to be very popular. I have several buds from my ric, when I get home this weekend I'll take a pic and you can compare to a ric of similar size - but my picture taking won't be anywhere near as clear as yours. Keep us posted as it grows out.
dsoz
I thought those (strawberry anem) were cold water? . The large ones are cold water. THere are several smaller ones that are warmer water. THey are carnivores, but unless they get big they don't pose any threat to livestock. dsoz
andy
Yeah, +1 Dennis... I vote Pseudocorynactus, aka ball anemone. I've got a crapload in my tank, they like being underneath liverock overhangs IME.
impur
+1 i have about a hundred of those on the side of my rockwork and glass where there is lower flow and almost no light. You should move it to very low light, that seems to be what they like.
Gabe
I've got a bunch under just about any rock I pick up. No cool color like that though.
